investigation community for long and which has been in practice for many years. Therefore,
most of the investigation paradigms are emerge through one of the two essential aspects like
Interpretivism and positivism research. In the existing investigation context, positivism research
will be the most suitable tool as it is imperative in executing quantitative analysis and also
effective in gathering information that are based hypothesis testing. In quantitative analysis the
whole investigation is in consist over probabilistic model which is analysed through the past
investigation.
Research Approach: An investigation approach is defined to be a procedure which consists of
the steps of broad assumption to detailed tools of information accumulation, evaluation and
analysis. Research approach is mainly of two types i.e. deductive and inductive research
approach, therefore, the selection of approach is based on the data which are accumulated

investigation is mainly encompasses over probabilistic and non-probabilistic sampling. This in
this present research work, random sampling will be the most suitable sampling tool as in this
individual are randomly select to gather valuable information. Therefore, sample size 40 will be
the suitable for assisting the overall work in right manner to gather valuable information to

considered area for a researcher is to follow the research ethics in respect to assist the work in
right manner to completion of the work without facing any kind of issue of hazardous. Therefore,
in this present exploration the investigator needs to ensure their participants about the security
and safety of their personal data, therefore, participants are mainly concern about maintaining the
security of their private data. In addition to this, researcher needs to provide consent to their
participants for the intention of receiving their approval (van der Heijden and Bakker, 2011).
Furthermore, researcher also facing the issue related to the access of the information, therefore
researcher needs to receiving approval from the appropriate sources to assist the work in right
manner.

reliable.
Research type: It has been analysed that there two type of research which is quantitative
and qualitative. The qualitative type is based on the theories and also the experiences of human.
It consists of that data which do not include numerical and numbers. It is really to extract the
qualitative data. The data which has been collected by the researcher needs to be authentic and
reliable. In this photographs, video records can be taken to collect the data. The other type of
research is quantitative in nature. This type of research is based on numerical facts and figures.
By making use of this research method, scholar can extract reliable and authentic information
which can help them to get end results. It has been analysed that quantitative research will be the

is inductive. Inductive approach is being used in the qualitative study. This approach makes use
of the observation to collect the data. In this the new theory is been generated from the existing
theory. Mostly used during the time of qualitative study. On the other hand, other approach is
deductive. This approach is based on the quantitative basis and is been selected for the study.
This approach is being based on the testing theory. It means that the researchers can learn from
the practical theories so that they can reach out the end results.
Data Collection: It consists of primary and secondary method of data collection. In the
primary method raw and fresh data is been collected. It is basically the unpublished data. The
primary data collection method consists of observations, interviews, survey, questionnaire, focus
group. The data collection from this authentic and reliable. It has also been analysed that primary
data has been collected by the researcher himself and it has been collected for the specific
purpose. It is really easy to gather and analyse the primary data, but this can be considered as the
time consuming method and also lot of expenses are being related to it. The other type of data
13
Document Page
collection method is secondary, in this the data which has been collected is already published. In
this type of method, the information is being gathered with the help of books and journals,
articles, company log book. This type of data collection can be made for the large area of
research. The limitation of making use of this method is that there are chances that data which
has been collected does not match the subject matter. It consumes less time for the collection and
also it can help researcher in getting to end results.
Data analysis: For the present research, thematic analysis will be used. It can be used for
the quantitative as well as qualitative data. It has also been analysed that this data analysis
method can help the researcher in getting the end results. It can help the researcher in investing.
Sampling: This is the effective area of an investigation, therefore, sampling is mainly
implicates over gathering information from the original population. In this report simple random
sampling has been used. It is been used so that no biasness exists. This will help the researchers
in getting into the end results. It will be useful for the researcher so that end results can be find
out.
Ethical consideration: In this the researcher needs to be involved in making sure that
consent of the participants has been take before engaging in research. In this they must also be
involved in making sure that the sentiments of participants are not been hurt (Bøe, Hognestad
and Waniganayake, 2017). They also need to make sure that data which has been collected by
them is reliable and also researcher needs to be transparent. Researcher needs to provide consent
to their participants for the intention of receiving their approval. They also need to think about
that participants are not been harmed while collecting data.

well in it. Besides that, staff is satisfied when all their needs are fulfilled. Alongside, satisfaction
is based on job security, growth opportunities, work life balance, etc. thus, in this there is no role
of motivation in it. However, it allows in comparing performance of staff in it. Besides that, it is

incentives on basis of their performance so that they remain encouraged in their work. So,
basically, these incentives are given in monetary terms. Henceforth, another technique applied in
company is trusting of staff. Employees are trusted by managers when they are given challenging
tasks or goals. They are allowed to take decision and finish tasks in specified time. Furthermore,
motivational techniques followed in Unilever is not proper. Thus, they need to revise it so that
employees are encouraged properly. There are other things as well in it. The manager in it does
not focus on use of technique in regard with employee needs. It is just done for formality and
making changes in it so that goals are attained. Apart from that, staff has to be engaged in it so

assist them in increasing the self esteem and confidence level of employees which is really

monetary incentives so that motivation of employees can be increased and also the revenue.
Here, apart from it, company can formulate a performance management policy and
system through which performance is measured. Through that certain standards and criteria can
be set and on basis of that employees are motivated. In addition, staff can be encouraged by
measuring their performance. So, it will be easy to give rewards and benefits to them. Another
recommendation that can be followed is by conducting motivation training sessions at
workplace. Unilever manager can do it to motivate employees and giving them knowledge about
different techniques of motivation. The company should also start providing non-monetary
recognition like praising the employees on social media channels or mentioning them in
company’s website is also important for Unilever to retain workers. This can assist them in
