Abstract 03
Topic: Employee privacy and email, WWW, and instant messaging
There are lots of privacy and security issues faced by users of communication systems
and devices. These privacy and security issues can have a direct negative impact on the users,
thus it is very much important to understand the reason behind the security and privacy issues of
those systems and devices. The main objective of the paper is to focus on the privacy of the
employees of business organizations as they use emails, World Wide Web and instant messaging
programs (Chory, Vela & Avtgis, 2016). The application of these systems can have a direct
negative impact on both the personal as well as the professional life of an employee. The paper
will aim to address privacy threats as well as the security threats of the above mentioned
communication items. The concept of cryptographic algorithms such as the Secret Key
Cryptography can be very much important to address the security threats of the communication
mediums, the paper will be guiding the readers to implement the concept of cryptography in a
working environment. The different ways which can be very much important to maintain the
security of the data will be discussed in a detailed manner in this paper considering the latest IT
security policies (Guerin, 2017). The advantages and drawbacks of the user authentication
process which can be very much important to deal with the privacy issues of instant messaging
will be also considered in the paper. Critical analysis of the security policies which are followed
in most business organizations will be also included in the paper.
