Subject: Information about Our Employee’s English Proficiency Skills
Respected Sir/Madam,
Greetings of the day. I hope this letter finds you in good health. This letter is about
informing you about our employee’s English proficiency skills as evaluated by our experts
and the details of his job description that he was appointed with for the last 1 year as the
“Merchandise Handler in Gap Warehouse and Distribution Centre”.
The employee was appointed as the Merchandise Handler in the Distribution centre of
Gap Inc. The job responsibility primarily included managing the different works at the
distribution centre, and the primary job assigned to me was that of “Performing data entry
through computer terminals or Remote Data Terminals (RDT)”. Therefore he was required to
keep a track on the incoming and outgoing assignments and to update the database about the
stocks. The stocks at GAP Warehouse is daily updated, as new assignments arrive and old
stocks leave the premises. Therefore the job was of high responsibility as any mistake in the
data entry would result in complication of the total system and wrong reflection of data.
It has come to our notice that before he was appointed as the Data Entry Operator at
the Gap Distribution centre he has gone through the WHIMS (Workplace Hazardous
Materials Information System) training. The official position of the administration is “All
workers in Canada who are working with or around hazardous materials are required by law
to have WHMIS 2015 (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training.

Canada Safety Training provides a comprehensive WHMIS Online Certification Course that
has been developed in accordance with the Government of Canada's 2015 Hazardous
Products Act for the training of anyone who manufactures, works with or is ‘in proximity to’
hazardous materials in the workplace.”
After the candidate applied for the job at the GAP distribution centre there were
various job responsibilities that the company could assign him with, including “Loading and
unloading, Performing ticketing, stocking, picking, packing, counting, housekeeping and
safety functions”. However the company preferred to give him the responsibility of keeping
data records and sending mails, this was because of his better English proficiency compared
to other candidates. He was asked to maintain records and send mails to the designated
people when requried
The authorities and supervisors at the workplace were pleased with the candidate’s
dedication and at several occasions his efforts were recognised through several accolades.
The authorities were happy with his proficiency and communication skills in English
language. He is provided with this letter recognising his English proficiency from our
company stating that all the modules like reading speaking listening and writing are
satisfactory in his case.
It was a pleasure to get an employee like him at our company who has dedication,
determination, and desire to achieve success in life.
Thank You for your time and consideration.
Yours truly
