This presentation assesses the influence of the EU on industrial democracy in the UK, highlighting how the EU empowers employees, promotes partnership-based relationships, and educates both employees and management. It also compares methods used to gain employee participation and involvement in decision-making, such as direct participation, suggestion schemes, board-level participation, and job enrichment. Furthermore, the presentation assesses the impact of human resource management (HRM) on employee relations, noting that HRM accelerates employee involvement, fosters healthy competition, increases employee commitment, enhances satisfaction, and establishes a strong relationship between employees and management.
