PART A
a) General strike
A general strike is an action which is a substantial proportion of overall labor force in a
city, country. The example related to this is strikes of 1 lac lumber jacks and 40,000 copper
miners in 1917. Another famous general strike in UK was is May 1926 of Trade Union Congress

describe that they are against and this symbolize to protest an injustice. It is a type of
non-violent form (Pohl, 2021).

the party do not reach to a final conclusion then it is known as deadlock and breakdown.
Agreement or contract: Once the informal agreement, written form must be presented
against both parties which is known as agreement where both are agree and as per their
consent, they come to final conclusion as well. This can be counted through their
signatures where individual are ready for a negotiation.
Implementation of agreement: Once the signatures performed under agreement, the
manager and supervisor need to ensure that both parties are agreed and there is a need to
implement agreement as well. This in turn indicate that both parties are ensure that they
all are full agreed and this shows that negation is completely finalized between both
parties.

Bad working condition is considered another reason for grievance that affect the
individual perception as well.
c) Four consequence of unresolved grievance
Frustration become another reason for unresolved grievance that affect the employee
performance.
Once the grievance become unresolved then the chances of absenteeism increases and
this affect the individual performance within a company as well (Jules, Kwake and
Mwangi, 2021).
If the employee and employer issues were not resolved then there will be lower down the
productivity level and this causes negative impact over the business performance as well.
If the employee are not satisfied with the work, then it affect their performance and this
might also lead to cause dissatisfaction among employees and the financial performance
of a company also affected in negative manner.
Question 5:
Benefits of investing into mental wellbeing campaign
The pandemic in 2020 affected most of the organization in negative manner and this
affect the overall performance of employees as well. Due to changing the guidelines, employers
have to arrange best resources for their employees so that they can manage the work. Similarly,
most of the organization are focusing upon mental well-being for that different campaigns
designed because of the following benefits
Reduction in anxiety and this in turn help to improve the mental health of an individual, it
is so because most of the employees do not understand the changing pattern and this
causes frustration and stress.
Reduce the chance of depression among employees because such campaigns always help
to improve their mental illness and boost their morale to accept the challenges (Qin and
et.al., 2021).
Focusing upon campaign of mental illness always lead to improve the thinking and

accept the challenge even in adverse situation so that their performance cannot be
hamper.
Relationship between employee and employer also improved by focusing upon such
things so that effective outcome can be generated and they all work together in order to
improve their performance and meet the defined aim of a business as well.
Another benefits of organizing such mental well-being campaigns assist to increase self-
esteem which is essential for an individual and this in turn causes positive impact over
their performance as well (Brymer, Crabtree and King, 2021). Further, it helps to make
them confidence towards their performance too.
Question 6
Yes, trade union is declining because the employers have embrace the employee relation,
though the main purpose of trade union is to regulate the employee relation with an employee by
using collective bargaining so that effective outcome can be generated. However, the employers
uses wrong practices and this in turn causes lead the trade union towards declining phase as well.
Moreover, this is due to global competition and deregulation in traditionally unionized industries
which pressurize the employers to make decision to improve the performance of company
(Atzeni, 2021). This in turn force them to make decision and as a result, employee relation got
affected adversely.
Another factor that also contribute to decline in union membership include that workers
are less interested in this and that is why, employees are not satisfied with the situation and this
in turn causes direct impact over their performance. Also, the relevance of this declaration also
entails that to stay strong in a competition, there is a need to make effective decision and
sometimes all the stakeholders are not agreed with the same (Borbely and et.al., 2021). Thus, it
might lead to cause negative impact over the performance which in turn decrease the trade union
as well. Hence, it can be stated that employers mainly dislike employees unions because they can
interfere with an autonomy that affect them economically, thus their interest towards an
employee become deteriorating and this affect the trade union as well.
