INTRODUCTION
Employee relationship can be defined as the efforts of the organization in creating and
maintaining the effective and positive relationship work between the employees of the company
(Fahed-Sreih, 2020). This helps the organization to keep their employees loyal and more
engaged in their job role as this is done by maintaining the positive and constructive relations
with the employee. Unilever company is the global consumer goods and the PLC Britain
company which is headquartered at the London also offering the beauty and personal products,
food and refreshments and the home products. This report will discuss the value and the
importance of the employee relations in the company as well as the list of the duties, rights and
laws of the employees in the organization. It will also discuss the How the stakeholders supports
the employee relationship as well as the negative and positive impact of the relationship on the
stakeholders.

Employee relationship is very important for the company because it helps in creating the better
working environment and the employees feel loyal and engaged in the workplace. This refers to
as the efforts made by the organizations to create and maintain the positive and effective
relationship between the employees (Caldwell and Peters, 2018). The employees are loyal and
engaged in their work and feel much better in working in the organization. The companies can
use many ways such as on boarding support for the employees, analysing the performance of the
employees, resolving the ongoing conflicts and many more.
The organization can maintain the effective employee relations in the organization by
communicating the vision and mission of the company, promoting the work and personal life
balance, offering them in improving their professional development opportunities.
Importance of the Employee relations at the workplace-
Heightens the Employee loyalty- The culture of the company highly impacts the employees as
if they don't feel good then they leave the job. The positive and constructive employee relations
in the organization helps the company to retain the employee and it boosts the loyalty among the

employees works better because they have good relations in the company with other employees.

unsuccessful companies. These conflicts arise because of the differences happens between the
employees. These differences help in arising the conflicts between the employees. Having
positive relationship between the employees helps in the fewer conflicts between the employees.
Unilever company has better relationship in the company and this helps them in eliminating the
conflicts between the employees.

the trust and confidence among the employees. This helps the companies to retain the talented
employees in the company. Unilever company has better relations with the employees which

within the organization then the employees of these companies stay satisfied and never leaves the
company. The employee satisfaction is very important for the company as it helps in increasing

relationship then they will able to maintain better relationship with the employees of the

the rules and regulations. The fundamentals of employment laws is the considerer as the subject
matter of the layout law and is consists of the nine heads such as employment, individual
employment relationships, wages and remuneration, health and safety, social security and many

Both employees and employers has the rights and responsibilities in the organization. The
responsibilities are maintained and followed by both of the employees and the employers. It is
very mandatory to know about the rights and responsibilities of the employees and the employers
in the workplace. The rights of the employees and employers must be ensured by the company as
this will help them to feel satisfied ans work efficiently. Unilever has to ensure the rights and
responsibilities of each employee and employer of the company to be maintained by them. Some
rights and responsibilities are-
Safe Environment- The major duty and responsibility of the employer is to provide the safe
environment to the employees. The employees must be sure that they work in a safe place.
Proving safe environment to the employees as well as to the visitors helps them to create good
reputation of the overall company. Unilever must provide clear responsibilities to the people so
that they can work accordingly.
Arrangements- The employees are responsible for providing the safe arrangements by avoiding
the use of harmful substances and things, dangerous products as wells s the chemicals. These are
rules and regulations for using and storing these substances at the workplace. The employees and
employers of Unilever company has the right and responsibilities of arrangements.
Necessities- The employers must be ensured about the employees that they must have all the
basic requirements and the facilities such as tidy eating, clean toilets, clean workplace and many
more (Laundon, Cathcart and McDonald, 2019). The employers of the Unilever company
should take care of this but should also focus more in paying attention towards the necessities of
the employees.
Equality at the workplace- The right of the employee is to maintain the equality and free
discrimination and no abuse at the work place. The employee has the right of equality in the
organization. The employees of the Unilever does not face this issue as the employees are
maintained properly according to their rights.
It is very necessary for the managers to consider the factors which hinders the employee
relationship and these when solved then they help the company to maintain the effective, positive
as well as the constructive relations within the employees (Rao and Sharma , 2018). The

2021). Unilever company is not maintaining the proper working environment which has the

employees as it may create conflicts as well a confusion between the employers and the
employees. This creates the negative environment in the organization. Unilever company does
not have much clarity of the responsibilities of the job role of the employees.

their engagement. Unilever must use this stage effectively as this will help them to know their
