the basis of brick and mortar or whether, they are operating in
online retail, there can be risks associated to the operations of
the retail organisation (Obayi et al. 2017). In order to ensure
that an organisation is being able to effectively comply with
the degree of expectation in terms of generation of sales and
effective outcomes. Hence, carrying out a risk analysis is an
idea that can be complied with in order to sustain the activities
with the help of which the company can be guided toward

sustainable outcomes. There are various risks that can arise
while a retail organisation is in operation. It is with the help of
identification of a risk that one can effectively determine the
practices that can hinder the likely sustainability of the
company. Risks such as physical items are a common risk that
is experienced by retail outlets and this can be improved by
developing a tight security system in the country. Furthermore,
damage of inventories is risk that can hinder the operation of a
retail outlet, injuries to customers is a risk that can occur but
can be mitigated effectively. Yet another risk, an independent
risk is a risk that can take place when competitors outperforms
a particular retail organisation. Hence, it can be said that
carrying out a risk analysis is something that can give a retail
organisation a competitive edge by being able to generate
ideas about the aforementioned risks (Zio 2016).
