The proposed study was organized for analysing the employee relations within an
organisation with the help of contribution of trade unions and performance linked reward
system. For achieving the proper answers of the questions, I referred secondary sources such as
Trade union practices on anti-discrimination and diversity. 2010websites, books, previous
researches, articles, journals, etc as per the requirement of the research. This analysis helps me in
improving and enhancing my knowledge in the field of reward system, its type, performance
linked reward system, trade union congress, its impact on the working environment and many
more.
With respect to the assessment 1 I learnt about the performance linked reward system and
its types. In this, I got information about how companies like Google, TCS UK, etc uses reward
system for improving the performance of its employees. Along with it, in this question I got
some drawbacks also which enterprises need to improve so that they can make their performance
linked reward system more effective and efficient. In context to it, I also came to know the role
of motivation in enhancement of the worker performance so that they can achieve the pre
determined targets of the organisations. With this analysis, I got that performance linked reward
system in not appropriate in the UK as compare to the US so it needs to improve.
On the other hand in assessment 2, I enhance my knowledge in the field of trade union,
their contribution for removing discrimination, their impact on the working environment and
many other things. This helps me in knowing about the objectives and roles of the union
regarding the discrimination and equality issues. This analysis enlightened me about the
drawbacks and loopholes in the trade unions which they needs to improve for effective
outcomes. It also helped me in understanding the various initiatives taken by the unions of the
national level for improving the organisational culture. For finding the appropriate answer of the

From the above study it is concluded that, for accomplishment of the organisational
objectives and goals it is important to maintain the relationship with the employees. Reward
system of the companies helps in improving the performance of the workers which results to
achieve the targets in more effective and efficient manner. There are two kinds of the reward
system which firm uses for boosting the motivation and confidence level of their workers which
results to bring improvement in their performance. Involvement of the union in the process
regarding reward system design, results to make them feel enthusiastic and part of company
which is also a positive factor. On the other hand, trade union congress is taking initiatives for
removing discriminations related to the age, gender, ethics, etc from the working environment.
These national level trade unions are working for providing equal rights to the workers.
