This presentation provides an analysis of employee turnover and retention, drawing upon two scholarly articles. The first article re-explores the reasons behind employee turnover in humanitarian organizations, highlighting the impact of employee perceptions, education, intelligence, and aptitude. It concludes that internal factors, rather than external ones, primarily drive turnover. The second article investigates the role of corporate social initiatives (CSI) in employee retention, finding a positive correlation between employee involvement in CSI and retention rates. It suggests that firms can integrate societal influence considerations into their business strategies to improve retention. Both articles contribute to the understanding of employee turnover by identifying key factors, such as employee perceptions and the potential of CSR, that organizations should focus on for better organizational results.
