This research proposal investigates the impact of employee satisfaction on organizational performance, using Hatton National Bank in Sri Lanka as a case study. The study explores the significance of employee job satisfaction, identifying key contributory factors such as remuneration, supervisory behavior, and teamwork. It aims to analyze the relationship between employee satisfaction and organizational performance, examining the connections between job satisfaction, employee remuneration, and the quality of work life. The methodology employs a positivism research philosophy with an exploratory research design, utilizing both primary and secondary data collection methods. The proposal also highlights the importance of retaining talented staff in the face of increasing competition, and the need to understand employee needs for improved organizational outcomes. The study seeks to understand what type of satisfaction is expected by the employees from the organization which can keep them happy and retain for a long time and also what activities and events can satisfy the needs of the employees.
