CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Here, in this particular chapter of the study will going to emphasize on the research topic “An
analysis and evaluation of employee job satisfaction at Maruti Suzuki in the Indian markets”.
The present scenarios of the several processes involved to satisfy the employees of the
companies in the Indian market are not much effective and are majorly based on the traditional
techniques and practices. Since the markets are frequently changing with the development of
the technology, infrastructure, needs of the people and several other aspects of the business,
there is a need to focus on one of the most important business entity; the employees. The
Indian automobile industry is projected to gain a huge growth with the invasion of the new
companies and brands in the markets of India, so the present companies has to deal with
several consequences and concerns that may occur in the businesses. Maruti Suzuki is one of
the largest automaker in India and they are also experiencing several issues in making their
employees satisfied with the pay cheques, support, training and development, professional and
personal growth because of several factors that affect them directly. In addition to this, the
increased rate of competition in the markets has severely affected the business processes and
the practices of the HR departments of the country. Hence, the study will be going to highlight
the employee job satisfaction practices performed by Maruti Suzuki with operative evaluation
of the processes. Moreover, the research will include the proper explanation of the issue in

companies in India so that the study can finally conclude on the context and make relevant and
needful recommendation.

understand them and make effective strategies which can make their employees satisfied in

The present research will be developed through a variety of research methodologies and
techniques. The data collected in the research will be based on primary and secondary data in
the form of literature reviews and questionnaire. The literatures and articles were taken from
the journals, news, internet sources and blogs of the experts of the related industry. the
primary questionnaire has been made with the open-ended questions, face to face meets,
phones and emails asked from the customers, managers, employees, etc.
1.8 RESEARCH APPLICATION
In this research, the researcher would be utilizing both qualitative and quantitative research

other. There are two sources for data i.e. primary source and secondary source. In primary

data would be collected with the literature review of articles and journals. Then, the collected
data would be put in tabular manner and it would be analyze with help of excel table and charts
which provides adequate knowledge and understanding. After that, the finding will be delivered
to the company that utilized it for the planning and implementation along with suitable
