Managing the employee relation within the company is the most important thing for the
success of the company. The major reason for this is that the whole organization work with the
assistance of the employees only (Mohanty, 2018). Thus, it is very essential for the companies to
maintain and manage good employee relation so that working is good and effective. When the
employees have coordinated relation with one another than this will build more trust and
communication between them and this will result in better working and attainment of objectives
of business. Healthy relation among the employees leads to better working environment and
better implementation of strategies of top management. Many researchers have shown that when
the employees have mutually good and respectful relation with one another than this always
result in better working and effective team work.
For instance, in Morrison if the employees have good relation among them then this will
always result in better working and proper following of all mission and vision of company.

Further, in addition to this when the employees of Morrison have good relation among them then
this will result in creation of better working environment as well. The major reason underlying
this fact is that when the employees have good and effective relation then this will be assistive in
creating good working environment.
In contrary to this if the employees of Morrison are not having proper and effective
relation among the employees then this will not be good for working of company. The major
reason underlying this fact is that when the employees are not comfortable with one another then
they will not be in good condition to work with one another. Hence, this might result in delay in
work and also non accomplishment of the aim and objectives of the business.
Hence, for managing effective relation between the employees the company also makes
the use of employment law (Wren, 2020). The employment law regulates the relation among the
employee and the employer as well as other employees. This law provides for some of the
guidelines which both the employees and the employer have to follow in order to create good
relation among both of them. Under the employment law there is much legislation which have to
be followed by the companies in order to create good relation among the employees and
employer as well. The major legislation followed for this is the Employment relation act 1999.
Under this law there are many different rights which are established in for management of
relation among different stakeholders of the company and the employees as well.
In the end it is suggested to Morrison that they must comply with all the legislation and
laws relation of employment act and employee’s relation act. This is essential so that the
company is in position of dealing every situation in which there are issues among the employees
and the employer.
2- Various rights, obligation and duties which employee and employer has in workplace
With the compliance of the rules and regulations there are also many different types of
rights and duties of both employees and employer within the company to have. All these rights
and duties are to be fulfilled by both employee and employers.
Duties and rights of employers-
The major duty of the employer is to provide a safe and healthy working environment
(Employer’s health and safety responsibility, 2020). As per the laws this is the most essential

will not be comfortable. Hence, for working in better and effective manner the most important
thing is the providing of healthy and safe working environment.
Another major duty and obligation of the employer towards the employees is to pay to
the employees in accordance with the minimum wages act. This is necessary as if the employees
will not be paid the amount which they deserve then this will demotivate the employees and will
not perform in effective manner.
Another major duty of the employer is to have proper risk management plan. This is
essential for the employer as anytime anything can happen so the employer must be ready with
the entire requirement. Even the employees can face any type of hazard like electric shock,
radiation and others. So employer must have all the necessary resources and first aid kit ready
always ad the future is contingent.
Another major duty of employer is to provide discrimination free environment to the
employees and must provide equal opportunities to the employees irrespective of their age,
gender, position and other factors.
Rights and duties of employees towards the company-
The right of the employee is to be paid at least the minimum wages which the employee
is bound to receive as per the law. This is the right which employee have within the company
and the payment to the employee is being done with assistance of minimum wages act only.
Another major right of the employee is to get a discrimination free working environment
as this is not legal for the employers to do discrimination among the employees.
The duty of the employee includes the providing of good and effective services to the
company for which the employee is being recruited (Employees rights, 2020).
Another major duty of the employee is to avoid double employment that is working at
two or more place at the same time. This is the major duty of the employee as this is against the
law and the employees are not allowed to perform dual employment.
Other than all these rights and duties of employee and employer there comes a
psychological contract that includes a set of promises and expectation which both the parties
have to fulfil. These are not mentioned in laws but are moral values and psychological facts
which are to be followed by both employer and employee.
