Hello,
I am writing to you requesting for your approval of my research proposal. The
topic of the research proposal is The Effects of Employee Training on Staff Retention in
organizations. I am requesting your approval for this proposal as this will determine if I
will be able to move on with the research project. It is also important for me to pursue a
research finding on one of the areas that I am interested in. I will appreciate your
approval for my proposal and promise to provide the best result out of it.
The topic of research is the Effects of Employee Training on Staff Retention in.
The topic will determine how employee training can affect the way organizations retain
their staff members. In this case, my findings will be on determining whether training
increases, decreases or has no effect on retention of staff members in an organization. I
will collect and analyze secondary data effectively before coming up with a conclusion.
One of the reasons why I selected this topic is that I am interested to work with human
resource related activities. I have a certain passion in that career line and conducting
this study will help me determine various ways in which employer and employee
relations can be improved.

The research question that is meant to be answered in this case is what is the
effect of employee training on staff retention in an organization? To conduct the study
that will answer this question, there are various sources that I will use in order to gather
adequate information that will enable me to come up with an authentic conclusion. The
sources involve secondary sources of previous studies whose topics relate to the topic
that I have selected. I will use six sources that will help me in various aspects such as
coming up with an objective of the study and collecting data. One of the resources that
will be included in the research is a finding on the importance of developing strategies
for employee retention by (Cloutier et al, 2015).
The article is a study that has stated different factors that can the retention of
employees in an organization. According to the article, high cases of turnover rates in
an organization increases the costs in terms of time and other resources used for
recruiting new staff members and it also destroys the organization's reputation. From
the article, some of the strategies that can be used in order to retain the employees
include good compensation scheme, effective employee relations and training. The
article will be important in providing adequate information relating to how employee
training affects their retention.
I have an effective plan for the research project. I will divide the project into
different parts. The parts will comprise of an abstract, background of the study,
introduction, literature review, data collection methods and a discussion on the effects of
employee training on staff retention in the organization and a conclusion. The data used
will be from the secondary sources that have been provided. The literature review will
explain the findings of different sources whose topic of study relate to one of the

projects. Each stage will be allocated time depending on the tasks of the stage. For
instance, in data collection, I will use approximately two days in analyzing the secondary
data and coming up with an effective conclusion on the sturdy. I will ask one of my
classmates to proofread my work and help me in correcting some of the minor or major
errors that I could not have noticed by myself.
The research project will be of relevance in different ways. It will help me to
expand my knowledge on how training affects employee retention. It will also provide an
opportunity for me to understand other factors that can affect employee retention apart
from training. The research may be used by the employer's indifferent organizations,
particularly those that face challenges of high turnover rates of workers. The study can
also be used by other researchers who may identify a gap from the project and improve
it by carrying out another study relating to my topic. It can be a source of information to
many individuals that need to know the effects of employee training on staff retention.
