INTRODUCTION
The people and performance are the crucial factors that the organization must focus on in
order have growth in the market. By having the performance management it helps to achieve the
potential goals and have good controlling of the employees. The current report is based on the
case study of BUNI Travel which is based in Bolton. This is the small workforce which has been
working with the traditional Personnel department. The report is based on the improvement of
the organizational performance for the company. The report will outline the various tools and
techniques that will help in improving the organizational performance. Further this report will
also outline the role of employee well- being in improving motivation and performance.
MAIN BODY
1. Tools and techniques helps in improving organizational performance
The organizational performance is the actual output or the results of the organization
which is measured by comparing with the goals and objectives. There are various factors which
helps the organization performances which are human and cultural factors, technological factors,
markets, teamwork and many more. This is basically the broad field that helps the company to
accomplish the goals and objectives. The tools and techniques that helps in improvement of the
organizational performance is as described below:
1. Performance Appraisals: This is the most important tool in order to improve the
organizational performance. This tool is called to be the potent in order to
combine the goals of the individuals with the common goals of the company. In
order to apply this tool there mus be honest and fair two- way communication
between the employers and employees (Lasater and et.al., 2019). By having the
proper communication this will help the organization to have the good
organizational performance. In order to be beneficial employees they must be
appraised on the regular basis and have the good communication between them
and with their manager. If the employees are not appraised than they are
motivated and encouraged towards their work and this will lead to decline in the
employee performance. This technique is very powerful in order to align the goals
of the individuals by having the strategic aim of the business.
2. 360 Degree Feedback: This the another best tool and technique that will help the
organization to know about the output. 360 Degree Feedback used to deal by

evaluating the assessment of the employees which can be done internally or
externally (George, Walker and Monster, 2019). This tool helps the company to
have the good review process by considering the opinions of the employees and
other people in the organization. By doing this it will make the company to have
the training and development of the employees which will help the organization to
increase in their performance. This tool allows the team members to grow by
identifying the improvement in others and making them developing the needs. By
doing this it will help the organization to show the team performance by showing
them the importance of because it resulted in the actions taken and therefore the
members of the team are engaged in their working process.
3. Key performance Indicators: the KPI is the perfect performance management
tool that used to provide the different ways in order to measure the performance
of the organization. This will also help the organization to know about the
performance of the individual in order to attain the objectives of the company
(Latilla and et.al., 2018). These are the indicators which helps the company to
provide the way to measure that how well companies, units, individuals, etc. are
performing in order to gain the strategic goals and objectives. The main value of
this tool is having the management technique that enables data driven
performance and helps in making the better- decisions. By having the well
designed KPI's this used to provide the important navigational instruments which
provides the clear picture of the level of performance of the organization.
4. Management by objectives: MBO is defined as the process that used to define the
specific objectives and setting them how to achieve the individual objectives. This
is one of the powerful tool that helps for having the specific work that must have
to be done by having the one step at the time (Berberoglu, 2018). This is the best
way in order to create the culture of working towards the common goals. As each
of the objective is achieved by having the full focus on the goals and objectives of
the company. By this it helps the organization to achieve the morale and
motivation of the employees. This used to measure the performance of the
individual and used to compare the performance from the previous set goals.

5. Balance scorecards: This is the one of the best and helpful management tool and
it has been working from the last 20 years. This tool used to clarify the strategy
and communicates with the business priorities and with the objectives. The
organization can monitor the progress by measuring up-to what extent the
priorities and the objectives are being delivered. They must define and manage
the actions plans in order to ensure the initiatives that helps the organization to
manage and gain the business goals and objectives.
6. Utilizing Feedback: If the employee is underperforming in the organization so, it
is the duty of the company to take the feedback in order to know the reason. The
meeting should be held in order to identify the possible causes for having the
underperformance of the employees (Rehman, Mohamed and Ayoup, 2019).
While solving the feedback the organization must sure that they are solving the
feedback in the positive way which helps the employees to feel encouraged and
motivated in their working.

organizational performance. The best tool the organization can use is 360 degree feedback which
helps the company to have the good review process by considering the opinions of the
employees and other people in the organization. By using this tool it allows the team members to
grow by identifying the improvement in others and making them developing the wants and
needs. This will help the organization to show the team performance by showing them the
importance of team as it resulted in the actions taken and therefore the members of the team are
engaged in their working process.
2. Role of employee well-being in improving motivation and performance
The employee well- being refers to the way of employees work, expectations and the
workplace affects the health and happiness of the employees in the organization. The
organization must understand the need of the employee well-being which helps them to attain the
goals and objectives of the company. By having the well-being of the employees helps to
increase the morale and higher satisfaction related to their job (Abubakar and et.al., 2019). The
employee well-being makes the company to increase the motivation in the employees and
improves the performance of the company. The employee motivation refers to the level of
commitment and the energy that the organizational staff must have during the working days.

Motivating the employees makes them to feel enthusiastic and used to take the pride in their
work. This used to accomplish the goals by having the good focus towards their work. BUNI
travel must focus on the role of employee well-being that will have the organization to have the
large workforce and develop the new method of training and development to the employees.
The advantage of having the well- being in the organization is vet numerous as it helps in
increase in the staff satisfaction, morale of the team members, increase in productivity and these
will also reduce the absenteeism of the employees (Krekel, Ward and De Neve, 2019). As the
well- being of the employees used to influence the organizational productivity and performance.
By improving the role of employee well-being it will increase the employee performance and
helps the organization in decreasing the sick leaves. The meeting should be held of the
employees in order to identify the possible causes for having the underperformance of the
employees. By reviewing the feedback the organization must sure that they are solving the
feedback in the positive and in the good way which helps the employees to feel encouraged and
motivated in their working.
The improving well- being does not only help in reducing the workplace stress but it also
helps the employees to avoid the distressing situations. It is very important for the organization
to foster the positive experience and the positive emotions towards the work. According to the
research it is basically seen that the lack of motivation affects the employee well- being in the
organization. The great influence which affect the employee well-being is the climate of
organization. They managers of the company must make sure that they have the good
organizational culture in the workplace. They must improve the things like leadership quality,
staff recognition and the decision- making process (Rasool and et.al., 2021). This will make the
employees to work in the most effective way by increasing the morale and by reducing the stress.
By dong this it helps the company in order to increase in the productivity by reducing the extra
costs. If the employee are not feeling well this will make them to have the negativity towards
their work and make them in stress for small thing. So the organization must understand the role
of employee well-being in the organization in order to cope up with the small problems and take

and managers in the company which makes them feel good and motivated. By this it will help

reputation as well. Managers by providing the right nutrients to the employees makes them keep
hydrated and helps in boosting the performance of the workplace. The organization must take
care of their employees by improving their lives and the success of the company. By these it
enables the employees to make the good decisions that reflects in the productivity and
profitability of the company. The managers of the company also make sure that they have the
good organizational culture in the workplace. Having the good and positive organizational
culture makes the employees to retain in the organization. By having the employee well-being it
will make the organization to create the better employee morale and the employee engagement.
This will also develop the healthier and the inclusive culture and encourage the employees
towards the individual and organizational goals (Walia, 2018). The external actors like COVID-
19 has also affected the well-being of the employees as there were several working barriers in
order to work in the tourism sector.

performance for the company. Further the report has described about the various tools and
techniques that will help in improving the organizational performance. By this it will help the
