Introduction:
The paper is prepared to gain an understanding of what experiences and qualification
employers seek from corporate accountants. For gaining job opportunities, employees used to
visit individually offices that provide them platform for exploring their career before there was
any facility of online jobs search. An individual person seeking jobs can search for his perfect
and suitable jobs using the facility of online job portal after the implementation of online job
portal system. Several job portals are used in Australia for gaining job opportunities and some of
them are core private and some are publicly or government sponsored. Some of the online job
search portals are Jora, seek and Indeed which are published by employers in Australia. As per
the requirement of qualified job seekers, a significant number of job are posted on this job search
portals that helps in creating job opportunities.
Various job opportunities related to accounting on these job search portals are available
such as position of corporate accountant, senior accountant, corporate and management
accountant, corporate financial accountant, tax accountant, corporate financial and management
accountant, senior accountant in tax and corporate reporting, senior financial accountant and
some other similar positions. Online job portals such as Indeed, seek and Jora provides
candidates with an opportunity to search jobs from an array of categories and they can opt for
them in accordance with their expertise and experience. Such platforms also helps in connecting
the recruiters with the required and needed candidates and they proved beneficial.

For most of the corporate accounting occupation, most of the employers requires at least
a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting to get qualified for the positions of different
corporate accounting. In some cases, they might also seek some certified public accountant
credential. Candidate’s interest in tax accountants’ position should have knowledge of tax with a
minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting and in depth knowledge of taxes and its structures.
Similarly, candidates interested in the position of accounting corporate finance should have a
bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and should have professional qualification with
knowledge of accounting and finance.
The objective of this assignment is to develop an understanding of the requirements of
the employer or recruiters from corporate accountants. This has been assessed by collecting
significant number of job advertisements posted by the employers in the online job search
portals. For this purpose, all the jobs in the corporate accounting for the position of corporate
accountant, tax accountant, corporate financial accountant and accounting corporate finance that
have been posted from 22nd July, 2019 have been incorporated in the discussion (Ahadiat and
Martin 2015). Many commerce graduates and post graduates seeks such jobs published in the
online job search portals in the particular field along with some specialization.

Answer to requirement 1:
The source used for collecting the job advertisement is seek and Indeed and the job
advertisement for the position of tax accountant, corporate financial accountant, corporate
accountant and accounting corporate finance. For the evaluation of job advertisements, thirty job
advertisements have been collected using two sources that is Indeed and seek and all the jobs
related to corporate accountants’ position. Therefore, in total thirty job concerning corporate
accountant’s position are collected. Fifteen job advertisements have been chosen from online job
search portal named Indeed and other portal named Seek has been used for collecting another
fifteen job advertisements. These job advertisements relates to the position of tax accountant,
corporate financial accountant, senior tax accountant, senior financial accountant and accountant
corporate finance.
