Addressing the selection
Selection criterion
Selection criteria include the list of job requirement that must be fulfilled by the candidate before
getting shortlisted for a job position. The selection criteria may include quality, training,
behaviour, skills, competencies and experience of the candidate. For the job role of Military
Officer, an individual should be able to meet with certain competencies and skills.
Single selection criteria can be decided based on choosing one component of selection criteria
which includes quality, competency, behaviour, skills and knowledge. The selection criteria for
the job role of Military officer includes a variety of skills and competencies such as physical
fitness, strong leadership, time management, communication skills, goal-oriented, Alertness,
active listener, readiness, adaptability to change, emotional intelligence, and presence of mind to
get the things quickly. The job description for the position of Military officer includes all these
competencies.
To give a response to those selection criteria an individual should have all these competencies so
that the individual can understand his roles and responsibilities and can apply for the job. The
individual should identify the selection criteria and then should assess self-competencies to meet
with the selection criteria.

Conclusion
An employment application should be designed clearly with good editing skills so that it can be
easily understood by the employer. The employment application should be simple and attractive
and it is used to apply for a job or internship placement.
