The contract for Janitorial Service
This contract dated 25th March 2020 is made between Super clean janitorial, whose address is,
Flat no. 33, Park Avenue Building, commercial drive, Vancouver, British Columbia (hereinafter
referred to as the employer/the company) and James Mark, whose address is A87, Granville
Street, Vancouver, British Columbia (hereinafter referred to as the contractor).
Purpose:- The aim of this contract for the employer is to engaged the contractor to receives
janitorial services from him.
General terms and conditions
Period:- The duration of the contract is one year which starts from the 25th day of March 2020
and shall lead to an end on 24th March 2021 upon approval of both the parties involved in the
dealing. The contractor has the option to renew this contract for further one year but the same
can be done by at least 7 days in advance of the end date of this contract i.e. 24th march 2021.
Scope of services:- By the virtue of this contract the contractor will have to provide those
services which are mentioned in annexure A attached herewith. The point to pay additional
attention is that the scope of services shall be limited to those which are mentioned in the
annexure and the employer shall not be entitled to ask for anything else than the same.
Venue:- The venue of service shall be the premise of the company's client
Method of payment:- It is to make clear that the contractor is not an employee of the company
and he is required to submit the invoices containing details of provided services and charges for

the same. The final invoice needs to be submitted by the 7th day of next month in general. All the
consideration and compensation shall be paid to the contractor as gross amount within the next 3
days from the submission of a complete and valid invoice.
Applicable Law:- This contract of service employment shall be governed by the employment
legislation and related rules and regulations o British Columbia state of Canada.
Right of the contractor
Consideration and compensation:- Contractor shall receive 2 Canadian dollars for each hour of
working apart from any other type of bonus or compensation charges. The employer shall
compensate the contractor for any type of losses occurred in the performance of duty where the
contractor is not on a mistake.
Holidays:- Contractor shall have one day off each week that shall be on Sunday. In addition to
this one more holiday shall be allowed each weak. If the contractor takes more than the
mentioned holidays then the same has to provide three days' notice in advance. A total of three
illness leaves is allowed in each quarter where the contractor shall not require to inform the
company in advance.
Overtime:- The company can demand overtime sometimes but it shall be at the discretion of the
contractor whether to accept the same or not. This overtime shall be considered as an additional
offering and shall not affect the regular application of this contract.
The obligation of the contractor

The contractor shall have the duty to perform the services in a timely and reasonable manner.
Further the same shall have the obligation to protect the assets and equipment’s provided by the
client of the company.
Company’s entitlements and obligations
For this contract rights of the contractor shall consider as duties of the company and the
obligation of the contractor shall be considered as entitlements of the company.
Warranties by company’s client
Safety Standards:- The company shall ensure the security of the contractor while
performing the task and shall provide security measures to him. In addition to this, the
company shall also instruct clients to provide a safe place to work and to keep the
security of contractors in consideration as desired under the Occupational Health &
Safety regulations of British Columbia.
Human Rights:- Human rights code of the state does also applies to independent
contractor and therefore the company shall have a duty to ensure that no human right of
the contractor is being exploited. The contractor shall have the right to sue the company
in case of facing exploitation or discrimination or any other abuse of any of his human
rights.
Equipment and materials:- Contractor shall not be liable to bring any material or
equipment and the employer's client shall furnish all the requirements necessary to
perform the task and delivery of service.

Default: - If any of the party refuses or fails to perform any promises made under this contract or
to carry the work as decided in this contract then the situation shall be considered as a breach of
contract and the defaulted party shall be subject to penalties.
Penalties:- In case of breach of contract by the contractor, the other party i.e. company shall be
able to withhold the payment for last submitted invoice or of days from last payment to the day
of breach. Similarly, in case of breach of contract by the company, the contractor can refuse to
work any longer as well as can also initiate action in the employment court of the relevant
jurisdiction.

Annexure A
The scope of the services is extended up to the following ones:-
1. The contractor shall coordinate with the company

Vacuum all carpeting
Dusting of furniture
Wet mopping of tile floors
Wiping tables and chairs
3. The contractor shall provide services every week as follow:-
Dusting wall décor
Polishing all wood surface
Cleaning switch panels and elevator handrails
