Introduction
The new forms of employment are emerging trends in the employment sector. The new
forms have a big impact on the relationship between the employer and the employee. This forms
of employment involve use information and communication technology and also involve
locations.
One form of new employment is employee sharing work. This is a type of employment
for firms with distinct human resource needs that do not need a permanent full-time position but
keep on recurring. Therefore these firms hire one or several workers who can handle the
assignments. The workers' skills and time are shared among a group of firms (Aljuwaiber, 2016,
pp.741). Job sharing gives workers a good level of flexibility. It allows workers to work part-
time and take work turns. On the hand, job sharing enhances career developments. In addition,
job sharing makes it easier for workers to balance work and life outside of work. More so, the
workers are entitled to the same job training as any other co-worker (Jain, Giga and Cooper,
2013, pp.4920). Job sharing offers workers the opportunities for exchange of ideas because of
the shared completion of tasks deep-rooted in the job. On the contrary, job sharing can lead to
increased work strength, work-related stress, and the need to work overtime which can result in
some job shares to be given fewer duties. Stress related to job sharing can result in mental health
issues.
According to the feedback from my tutor, the first area that I have improved is an attempt
to critique two theories about globalization. The work I wrote was clear and well organized. For
me to achieve this, I read different articles and did online research about different theories of
globalization which made me to comprehensively evaluate the theories. Another feedback I

received was about my referencing. I followed the referencing guidelines as I was taught and this
made it easier to for me to reference well my assignment. The references were in line with the
content written because I had a clear understanding of the topic. Additionally, another area I
have improved is being able to highlight some theories about gender inequality. I was conversant
with the topic and this made it easier for me to do my research.
Conclusion
Work sharing as a form of new employment may be an important tool if the business uses
an effective strategy that will eliminate the negative implications that comes with it. This will
help the company to achieve its objectives.
