INTRODUCTION
Empowering can be simply referred as giving power to some one so that active
involvement of that person can be occurred in selecting its own decision. In sector of health and
social caring, numerous of service providers are in force to abide by civilians necessity to have a
concentration over governmental norms and rules (Wyder and et. al., 2015). Since there is
adequate engagement of a wider number of service suppliers in industry of health – care;
therefore, the consumers are getting more obsessed and are focusing on the overall charges as
well as quality, and afterwards assurance of services. Hence more than one entrances in field of
HSC are allowing the operational clients with more powerfulness. The current report is going to
be formulated by considering various given case studies. In this project key legislations have
been discussed that give impact on activities of rehabilitation centres.

1.2 Factors affecting the achievement of promoting the rights for Mr Taz
Health and service care organization volunteers, work in such direction that will more
affect in for service user. There are two ways of promoting and maximizing rights for Mr. Taz.
It includes right of information, under this he has all rights reserved to know treatment which is
given to him. So he must aware about side effects. If he found any discrepancy he can refuse
treatment at any time (Cameron and et. al., 2014).
Its most attribute is to empowering individual, it builds positive environment around him
to get healthy life and get engage in some activities with personal attention that raise his
confidence . Let him do things which he enjoy for some time which motivate him towards living

a normal life. It provides help anytime under supervision and appropriate documentation. It
maintains record for support events.
2.1 Factors contributing to loss of independence, non-participation and social exclusion for Mr
Taz
Factors which contribute in the loss of independence- As per the case study, various
factors which contribute in the loss of independence in Mr. Taz are described as follows:
 Physical loss- According to the case that Mr Taz is young man who had tragic from
accident which left him a physical disability and hearing damage. By which his parents
can not do any activity without assistance of others (Westwood and et. al., 2015).
 Mental loss- The mental condition of Mr Taz is not good because he is not answering
about their accident to the police and face various issues regarding health.
 Emotional loss- The loss of independence may create fear of loosing something,
graininess, disappointment for Mr Taz.
 Social loss- Also Mr Taz is loss contact with the society people and he can not share their
views and ideas. Also he can not even talk to any one.
The factors which contributes to non participation- The factors which directly bring in
the non participation for Mr Taz within the personalized impotency (Snape and et. al., 2014). It is
the main reason of the non participation so he is depend on others for their regular activities and
functions in proper manner.
The factors that contribute to social exclusion- The depression my be the other reason
for social exclusion to Mr Taz so if he is suffering from diagnosed with dementia. So he will not
allow to go outside and have no person to share their joy in the family.
1.3 Contribution of communication between Physiotherapy team and Mr Taz
In service providing sector, the significance and empowerment of the users from various
level allow the entire process which is more satisfactory. The more physiotherapy team will be
empowered in health and social care industry that will capable for judging and participating.
There are some techniques and methods which are used in this case study that are described as
under:
 Empowering an individual- The growth and development services render by care
employees which can improved with the help of empowering workers of an organisation.

So the concise statement and major program should be given to them and gain benefit
regarding equality can be described to the composition of the empowerment.
 Insure the person performance- It is make sure that performance level of care
employees of organisation participation can be developed or formulated but by this an
enterprise team members will take care of Mr Taz who is damage by accident and left his
physical disability and a hearing impairment. And then they can go for choosing best
performance physiotherapy team which will take care of patient in proper manner.
 Sources of information- An organisation should provided all the necessary data and
information for their care staff members so they feel special and also participate in other
activities of the business concern. This is another benefit which help in giving accurate
information that are able for solving common issues or problems which are required.

2.3 How tension will be managed for enabling Mr. Harry to cook his meal safely
According to the case study Mr. harry is suffering from a chronic disease named as
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. He is taking regular check ups from a psychologist. In
addition to this, in current situation, Harry is being semi dependent and is having a nurse since he
was admitted in hospital due to overdose or misuse of drugs. Now, he wishes to prepare his
favourite food named as rice and peas along with jerk chicken. Besides this, Mr. Harry has a bad
history of hitting citizens in market who used to stare at him. Therefore, it is important to
manage its tension so that he get able to cook that food easily and safely. For doing the same,
following ways can be adopted :
 A care worker should be appointed who should provide the responsibility of looking after
even a single move of Mr. Harry so that no danger get rises for him (Roski and et. al.,
2014).
 As he is going to supermarket alone and there is possibility of harms to others as he may
hit any of the person who start staring at him. Thus, for handing this, there is requirement
of some skilled professionals who can take care of such things and try to engage Mr.
Harry in other activities like buying ingredients for the making meal in order to avoid
hazards of hitting (Shepherd and et. al., 2015).
Risk assessment plan :

 First of all, a coordinator must be recruited for patient who aids him in cooking.
 After that risk associated with cooking like chances of accident that happen due to fire,
leaking of gas, touching hot utensils, etc. needs to be discovered before starting that work
of making meal. These all risky factors have to be eliminated and handled by taking
specific strategies.
 In addition to this while going to supermarket, there are some hazardous actions like
emergence of violence among people who are present at that place if any case of hitting
would happen, any individual can be hurted at that instant and many more (Moss, 2017).
Apart from that, Mr. Harry can also be come in a risky situation as he may has to face
anger of citizens. For dealing with this condition, police protection should be provided to
that region where he used to travel for purchasing raw materials.

3.1 Identification of the extent to which individuals are at risk of harm in health and social care
As per the case study that Mr Philips is suffer from dementia disease. Also he will
admitted into residential care home by his social employee due to this he has been abused from
violence. In service care industry an organisation are being more directed for gaining maximum
profit and it has been large impact on service users. There are various factors which create harm
or danger that are as follows:
 Wrong decision- As per the case study, Mr Philips suffer from dementia disease whose
age is 62 years. Sometime supervisors and managers are taken wrong decisions which
directly impact on health of patients (Househ, Borycki and Kushniruk, 2014).
 Negative concern- The attitude and negative concern of social care employees and
doctors may arise serious harm or danger in the mental situations of the workers in same
concern. According to case study, Mr Philips family members are not very concern about
his health any more.
2.2 Management of organisational systems and processes to promote participation and
independence of Mr Philip
Each and every organisation have some process, policies and rules for smoothly run the
whole business and achieve the desired goals and objectives of the company which can be set by
the top business operations and functions. The care staff members, they have legal laws that

includes acceptable and unacceptable risk, create abuse free environment, protect from major
risk, leadership style of the managers or leaders and complaint process for an enterprise. These
are gaining assessing risk, complaint process and other leadership style which are very essential
for promoting managerial risk. The possible issues or problems, screening people who are
reducing the abuse, appropriate process for the staff members which is used for promoting
management risk in effective manner.
3.2 Effectiveness of policies, procedures and managerial approach within a HSC
Proper health caring is being represented by correct medication services, thus each people
associated with health and social care like doctors, social workers, counsellors etc. have to obey
all policies and procedures which is mainly designed for offering medical supervision (Glasby,
2017). Its importance can be understand by following points :
 Determination of effectiveness of medical management : Every work linked with
management of medicines requires to be alterable, measurable as well as actionable.
Some of the concerns regarding its maintenance are listed below :
◦ Adjustment of temperature
◦ Checking of life cycling of drugs
◦ Immunization
◦ Prescribed as well as non prescribed medicine
 Expiry date : Before giving medicines to Mr. Philip, nurses needs to check expiration
date. If this will not performed then risk of accident get increases.
 Monitoring system : A suitable observance management have to arranged for taking
care of the patient. This would help Philip in overcoming from his current situation of
pain and fear as well (Cameron and et. al., 2014).
 Approval of medicine : None of the drug have to be taken without the permission of
doctors. So, care providers of Mr. Philip ought to focus on the same and offer them
correct medicine as prescribed by health professionals.
CONCLUSION
From the above based report, it can be concluded that the government made various laws
and regulations which are conducted in health care organisation. Most of the enterprise comply

satisfied with large number of people from danger diseases.
