INTRODUCTION
Power and empowerment are most important aspect in the society and organization both
trough which all activities of business can be integrated in order to product valid outcome.
However, the empowerment is helpful to promote the community and workforce at the
workplace in order complete the given work on right time and support them to complete all
related activities. The present reported is based on critical evaluation on empowerment that
whether it is radical idea or not. It is explained along with inclusion of suitable examples.
Furthermore, varied studies are referred for completion of the report in and each at the fruitful
conclusion effectively.
MAIN BODY
According to empowerment is considered as the most effective approach for the
development of society and organizational context. It is made possible with the help of adoption
of suitable strategies. Chambers and Thompson (2009) stated that empowerment is the procedure
to improve the welfare services with the help of social institutions. This reflects that
empowerment plays important role to understand the situation and enable individual to improve
the living standard by getting appropriate help. It also shows that an alternative ideology of
intervention thereby traditional approaches are reflected separately. It is effectively for people
who need help by supporting them to accomplish their work in a most effective manner. Using
the approach of empowerment paradoxical nature of the social problem is identified so as to find
the correct solution. It would be effective for the purpose of supporting individual to become
self-dependent and accept the potential changes taking place in daily life style.
In this manner, there are several perspective related to empowerment which can be in
term of society, organization and community as well as politics (Karen and et. al., 2016). Owing
to this, somewhere it serves as the process but on the other point empowerment reflects it is
radical idea. For example, women are supported to take part in the formal politics which aids to
determine their promotion for their betterment. Owing to this, it is important to shed light on the
meaning of the empowerment that how it words and helpful for individual or group as whole.

However, government specifically focuses on specific decision making position such as justice

ministries and low as well as social in order to promote their rights. ON a critical note, lower
level positions are assigned in the political parties, trade business and trade union as well as
public administration. Though, they are capable enough to play role effective role at the higher
level. Owing to this, empowerment is the process through which is women can be provided right
to serve the nation along with their own development.
Chiapperino and Tengland (2016) asserted that role of women in the political party is
increased with the help of introducing the training programme for female candidates and
awareness raising as well as cultivation link along with participation of women in the NGO. At
the same time, leadership training is offered for their own development which in turn their right
can be secured to ensure appropriate development and growth of the personnel including women.
Apart from this, Patnaik (2013) stated that health care sector under which women are empowered
through ease access to resources, employment and education for the purpose of promotion their
human right. At the same time, focus is laid on increasing their fundamental free on so as to
make choices freely without any kind of discrimination. For instance, DAWN population
policies and reproductive right project and Women's Declaration on Population Policies reflected
empowerment of women by promoting the gender equality. At this juncture, men were also
included in the process of women empowerment through increasing their responsibility to for
own sexual behaviour and fertility. Furthermore, empowerment can be considered as the radical
idea due to changing the internal structure of the social and rules as well as regulation of the
government. It is made possible with the help of addition of ideas.
In addition to this, Patnaik (2013) stressed that lack of support and institutional
arrangements it is not possible to empower the society ring schedules tribes into institutions of
decision making. However, empowerment is not ensured but the promises are made to local
people only. For this purpose, it is important to follow the radical idea by putting efforts and
empowering people by changing the rules and regulation for forming the local level policies. In
addition to this, Crondal and Karlsson (2016) stated that empowerment derived from the social
action ideology where the self-help perspective has been highlighted. In this manner, focus is
laid on bottom up approach that how effective empowerment can be determined in the society.
Without the presence of empowerment individual feel no any kind of control on his own life.
Such kind of issues affect their personal as well a professional life to a great extent. In this

manner, the major reason behind radical idea of empowerment is to provide strength to
individual for fighting against the operating and achieving control on their own life. It facilitates
to create self image and do their best in order to have own recognition in the society and
workplace both (Thompson, 2007). Furthermore, psychological empowerment is helpful for
encompass the individual belief in his own competencies and increase their level of involvement
with the aim to gain political, environmental and societal control. In this manner, empowered
people can effectively establish control in their term of political and social so as to effectively
manage their professional and personal life both (Patton, 2016). Furthermore, empowered person
get right and motivation to critically evaluate the circumstances related to political and social
environment. This would be effective for the perspective of proposed appropriate change in the
respective field. Lastly, author further relate the empowerment with health literacy. In case
health literacy is higher then it proves to be effective to ensure empowerment among individual
which is known as radical idea on the basis of passage of time (Karen and et. al., 2016).
CONCLUSION
The aforementioned report concludes that empowerment can be considered as the radical
idea due to its situation change for the development of particular group of people. It is helpful for
the development of individual by enabling the become self-dependent. It can also be concluded
that less empowered people cannot have control on their own life.
