Along with the current professional qualification in business management studies, I am also
doing advance diploma course in hotel management, which not only fulfils the job
description requirement but also ensures that I am best suitable for this job. Because whatever
the skills company is requiring for its hotel manager, I possess all qualities, which ensures a
great success of organisation and its reputation as well for my career aspiration.
In my CV and LinkedIn profile I have demonstrate certain essential and desirable skills,
which makes me suitable for this job. As I possess an outstanding leadership quality, which
fore sure needed in this segment, therefore, it highlights my excellent decision-making power
and problem-solving techniques, which are, must desirable in this profile. As CV shows our
objectives, goals and our career aspirations and highlights strength towards our goals. In this,
I have also shown my training information that is very helpful for my career. In my LinkedIn
profile, I have also provided certain events highlighting how to manage problems in context
of managing hotels. Some written papers, which are related with the problems and their
solutions in context of hotel management. Not only this, I have fluency in English and know
Spanish and French which is the biggest advantage in my profile because different languages
known is major strength in hotel sector.

STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action and Results. This strategy helps in answering the
behavioural interview questions. Situation the word itself is self-explanatory which focuses
on describing the particular event or a situation in which a person lies. Second aspect is task,
which describes one’s responsibility towards a particular situation, which has to complete it
within time. Then is action that how the particular task has to be completed, how will the
challenge be met therefore this need a keen focus over the particular target. Ultimately,

The company, which I have taken, is on hotel basis and the reason why hotel industry should
employ me as a hotel manager because in one of the situation I have proved in my training
session that I can be an effective future hotel manager. In my training session, my seniors
were having a farewell party for that, I was appointed as a leader to handle the entire event
like a manager. In addition, with the responsibility and authority I managed to work like an
efficient manager. My work was to handle entire event that was right from the invitation,
decoration, catering arrangement, attending seniors, and giving them farewell, my team and I
managed all. This depicts the task that has to be undertaken in order to show efficiency and
effectiveness. Ultimately, the results, with the help of my strength, which are leadership
quality, a good communication, command over voice, with the proper discipline completion
of my task, being in an sense achiever is a necessity, focus, futuristic, harmony, a good
learner, positivity, responsibility, and individualization, which helped in achieving success in
this particular project. Managing this kind of project under training programme build my trust
on seniors my and majorly affected their, behaviour, attitude towards me that showed positive
results.
Due to the above-mentioned strength of mine make me more goals oriented and for all the
above reason I think company should employ me under their brand name in order to generate
success and lead in incrementing reputation of a company along with achieving the personal
or individual goals.

Self-reflection
Throughout the entire module, I have to know more about myself, what all-key strength I
have to achieve my career aspiration. The most helpful were the training sessions, which
practically helped me out that how to perform well when person is in particular situation. In
strength it highlights that in the field how person should talk, how should a person act in
hustle working environment, what all techniques are adopted to make your teamwork to work
diligently, how and what is an effective leadership, What kind of an attitude and behaviour is
to be adapted towards work for achieving an effective and efficient goal. Moreover, all this I
have understand thoroughly by apply all my strength towards practical project, which I have
attended throughout my training sessions. Although I have positive strength to handle the
post of hotel manager but still certain skills need up gradation like Analytical and research
skills, I think to an every problem I should not take rush decision rather I should take time to
go and do some research regarding problem and them take an ultimate decision. In addition,
being analytical makes one person more determinant and gives surety about the idea, which
finally helps in generating huge profits. Along with this, I should also work on being flexible
enough under the different working conditions and circumstances. Moreover, in current
scenario management demands from an individual to wear multiple hats at the same time
which highlights that the person should know how to deal with different situation at the same
time.
Being tactful is also one of the reason on which I have to work upon at it helps in dealing
with companies client, colleagues and even situations. Last but not the least ability to accept
and learn from criticism, irrespective of age and experience one should demonstrate an
attitude that the particular person is appreciative of feedback and is willing to learn.
Similarly, I will practice to adopt all these skills to upgrade my skills, which will surely
ensure my personal growth as well as organisation reputation.
