Advance Directive
Introduction
I am very thankful for getting this post from my classmate. This will help me in
strengthening my knowledge for the future uses. I have realized that the patient involvement is
one of the most important things that must be done. The patient has to be conveyed each and
every decisions that are being taken. The treatment procedure has to be carried on with the
proper consent of the patient. The health care executives of American College of Healthcare
Executives (ACHE) are also of the opinion that they will provide proper care to the dying
patients (American College of Healthcare Executives, 2014). I have learnt that the end to life
decision making is one of the most crucial aspects that needs to be taken care of properly. I will
keep this in mind ad make sure that the patients are getting proper independence in selecting the
care that might be given to them.
Case 2
I have also realized from this response that end of life planning is one of the most
essential things that needs special attention in the modern day scenario. The health care
executives are of the opinion that the patients must be given every chance for fulfilling their
wishes (American Medical Association, 2016). I have also realized that if the patient is in a bad
condition and is mentally or physically disabled to take their own decision, the health care
executives might take the lead in that case However they will have to ensure that they are
maintaining proper ethics and acting with proper empathy.
