 Dementia is problem or the loss of cognitive functioning that is
remembering, thinking and reasoning that lead in effectively completion of daily
activities.
 The presentation is related to “What enables good end of life care for people with
dementia? A multi-method qualitative study with key stakeholders” article.
 The aim is to find out the way healthcare worker contribute in providing necessary
support to the individuals suffering from dementia problem.
 The article published by Claire. B. and et.al., 2018, is related to what are
the good end of life care for people that are been facing issue related to dementia.

improving their overall health condition.

 There are many things that are interesting in the article such as it has helped in
accumulating information related to number of people that will be suffering from
dementia in 2050.
 Likewise, the article explained that 131 million people worldwide will live with
dementia and UK dementia will be main reason for death in older women.
 Furthermore, another things that has been interesting in the article is that all the factors
that has influence the experience suboptimal end of life care.


 The key question that has been raised within the article is that what all factors that
influence the delivery of good EoLC for people with dementia.
 The study helped in extracting necessary information related to intervention that
is end support that could be used to offer to people facing dementia.
 Hence it has helped in answering the evidence-based intervention and framework
that could be used to support professionals to deliver better EoLC in dementia.

FINDING
 The study has contributed in finding key factors that are responsible for delivery of good
EOLC to people that are being suffering from dementia.
 Such as recognition of end of life, managing hospitalisation, effective working relationships
with primary care,provision of supportive care and continuing care after death.
 Timely planning discussions and valuing staff and ongoing learning are also method that
helps in delivery of good healthcare services to the patient facing dementia.
 Likewise, as per the expert- timely planning helps in providing appropriate care as early
diagnosis helps in improving their memory to retain information for longer time frame.

IMPROVEMENT NEED TO BE MADE IN
ARTICLE
 The improvement that can be made in article that it must include information related
to the factor that lead in causing dementia among maximum number of population.
 So that exact reason could be find out to overcome the issue and improve the overall
health and well being of individual.
 Moreover, it can also make use of qualitative method as it provide more insight
related to the subject area as quantitative does not lead in in-depth study.
 Therefore, the author may make use of different method in order to collect and
analysis information in effective manner.

 The Academic writing is significant to professional practice in health and social care as it
helps in effectively communicate the things or necessary information that has been
extracted through conducting research.
 As well as it is important skills for nurse role as scholar, professional, leader and educator.
 Likewise, as student it will helps me in writing and effectively presenting my research
related to any health and social care issue so that more good solution can be identified.
 Thus, it helps individual in getting higher successful in terms of name, fame and good
opportunities in future circumstances.
