INTRODUCTION
In today’s economic change and frequent transformation in global environment
conditions, there has been a great impact on energy and natural resources. It has forced countries
to reduce its consumption by implementing techniques. This has benefited them to improve their
economic growth. Alongside it, energy sector is the backbone of nation. It includes different
types of energy resources to generate energy. The evolution of globalization has allowed in
sharing of energy by countries with each other. From it, developed countries are highly benefited
as have implemented advance technique in energy consumption. Moreover, year by year there
has been increase in demand of energy due to rise in population. Thus, developed countries are
able to make improvement in energy distribution. Also, there are various programs which are
initiated by international agencies to improve this sector. but still many countries are not able to
manage supply and demand of energy in effective way.
The main role energy consumption play in economic growth of country is contribute in
GDP. it is a core unit of economic growth of country. technological advancement has made it
easy for countries to improve their efficiency of energy consumption. The advancement in
housing sector and installation of business information modelling (BIM) in construction industry
has made it improvised renovation of buildings. The use and integration of intelligence system
with technology has enhanced housing sector. it has been noticed that in many countries there is
still a large gap in energy consumed with consumption in household. This is main reason why it
is necessary to save energy.
Malaysia is developing country which is located in Asian continent. In present times, it is
necessary to conserve and save energy to protect ecosystem. energy consumption refers to use of
renewable resources to obtain maximum energy from it. this helps in increasing economic
growth of country. Malaysia social and economic growth is increasing day by day. There have
been many changes in adopted by government in regard to conserve energy. There has been high
demand of energy in household which has raised burden on nation to fulfil it. in recent time
many countries have taken major steps in energy saving. Moreover, they are promoting
techniques to improve economic growth by reducing cost of energy. The government are
providing huge subsidies on use of energy. It has led to rise in expenditure. In addition to it, there
has been negative effects on environment due to high usage of natural resources.
