staff workers to provide proper care to patients, keeping their health record and more, nurses
should also have powerful decision making and high critical thinking abilities (Nelson, 2018).
This would help in increasing team competence as well as confidence for improving
professionalism and encouraging motivation. Furthermore, nurse in health care sector, also play
critical role to ensure that if strategic direction has met or not. In this regard, within field of
operational nursing care, by having effective leadership capabilities, they help staff members to
safeguard patients and residents, via maintaining a team focus and developing enthusiasm for

care (Nelson, 2018). So, to fulfil such requirement, demand for highly qualified nurses are
increasing day by day within respective area.
In shaping health-care policies and setting up the care services, nurse leadership also
consider as a powerful source, where as a leader they can bring deep understanding as well as
understanding of healthcare sectors as per different role. Nurses also possess a broad knowledge
of social, political and economic force that help in shaping and accessing the health-care system
more efficiently (Till, McKimm and Swanwick, 2018). Being a leader or manager, they are
capable of identifying barriers that people may face in accessing the health facilities, in terms of
socio-economic and cultural. In Australia, the professional background gives nurses a strong
understand of their roles and relationship, in nursing management. It results in developing the
more effective leadership quality and capacity, for strategic development and models of care,
which require to deliver proper health-care.
