The application process of engineering knowledge of science in the production process that
is packaging containers production involves use of primary resources allocated by the
management body of the packaging industry to actively drive and manage the technological
evaluation of the whole production process for an end product to be offered to the market. In this
stage of internship, application production knowledge and skills learned were required to
successfully run the production process. (Reyes, et al, 2015, pg. 15).
The engineering knowledge learned from internship is very essential in my career as an
engineer since it involved most of the practical part of my career hence will ease my adaptation
to the job market when employed. The knowledge acquired during the internship period qill
enable me to grow my career since a lot of theoretical work has been put into practice.

The engagement process with the engineering department of the host organization was an
essential part of the internship progress since the department contains skilled and qualified
engineers in the field of machine operation and production process as they provided guidance on
the production process and operation of the production machines.
Engagement with the various department was necessary during the internship period since
through engagement, one can acquire new production skills and knowledge which were not
taught in theoretical class hence sharpens the one's skills and experience in the field of
production. (Stehr, 2017, pg. 325).
The departmental engagement with the qualified staff members will promote my career as an
engineer and my leadership skills since during the internship period, I was required to engage
staff members in my engineering work.

Internship progress report 6
Engineering design principles refers to rules that an engineer is expected to follow to create an
effective product to the market. The set engineering design principles which were related to the
production process of food packaging containers were the production of quality plastic
containers which will attract the attention of the buyers in the market. The design principles set
by the organization’s production department were created to control the production process by
the departmental members for effective products which align with the customers’ tastes and
preference. (Erl, 2016, pg. 322).
Principle design associated with the production of food packaging containers include shapes
of the containers, color, value, form, texture and the space the products will cover after
production that is the store. The above principles were necessary for the production process since
they conform to the departmental principles and taste of their customers. (Weber and Kim, 2015,
pg. 388).
Principles designed in the field of engineering during the internship period has update my
skills since various design principles were applied within the organization hence I could learn
most of the principles.

Technical knowledge for problem-solving is necessary for stakeholders to possess since the
organization is always faced with numerous problems ranging from staff to the market demands
hence with problem-solving techniques, stakeholders will be able to provide a better solution to
any problem which might befall the organization.
Key problem-solving techniques required by the stakeholders include active listening to
understand the problem, analyzing the problem at hand, researching on the causes,
communication with staffs and lastly making a defined decision on possible solutions to the
problem at hand.
Based on the above-mentioned problem-solving skills, I will able to apply such skills used by
stakeholders within the organization to develop my career and understanding of my colleagues at
place of work by giving prompt solution to any problem. (Gargs, 2016, pg. 535).
