Getting the engineering does not make a graduate student a complete engineer. It is very
much important that the student always meet the requirements for the accreditation so that they
become a complete engineer. By following this the students will be able to get practicum
placement in their interested area. Here the selected area for the practicum placement is the IT
sector. The practicum placements is very much important for the students as this add value to the
learning experiences of the students. This type of placement programs are designed in such a
way that it helps the students to achieve practical experiences in their chosen domain. The
practicum will help the students to gain real hands on experience which are important to be in the
industry. In this way the practicum placements will add value to the learning experiences of the
students. Thus in this way the practicum placements is adding value to the students. Due to this
reason practicum placement is very much important in this context.
Thesis Statement:
Here the main thesis statement is that “Practicum Placement Provides Better Job
Opportunity to the Students”. Regarding this thesis statement vast research has been done which
are discussed in the following section.
Summary of the Sources:
According to Turner (2019), a private practice can provide the needs of purpose of the
social works profession for promotion of community and human well-being. As per the author
private practice of education field is a legitimate type of teaching opportunity which is aiming
for preparing social work students so that they are able to meet mental health needs of the

individuals, public and the families. Due to this reason the practicum types of placement
provides a more vast opportunity to the students as the students are already trained in their
domain for the practical works. Thus in this case the author is supporting the thesis statement.
As per the authors Christenson et al. (2015), field practicum education is an integral type
of component regarding social work education. This type of education is having a major impact
over the preparation of the graduates for professional type of practices. Here the authors has
defined that as per the consideration of CSWE practicum type of experience is application and
integral type of component regarding all of social work education programs. The practicum type
of learning provides the opportunity of applying the theoretical concepts and the skills regarding
social work to the students which they learns in their classroom. This is an actual setting of social
works under the guidance of social work field instructor. Thus it is very much natural that the
practicum students has a wider field of knowledge compared with the students who are only
having some theoretical knowledge. Thus, it is obvious that the practicum type of placement will
provide better job opportunity to the students which is again supporting the thesis statement in
this case.
Reflection:
Here I have used both of the Cornell note taking style and the Mind mapping note taking
style and experience of using these note taking styles were quite different. In the Cornell method
some questions can be predicted earlier from seeing the title. There are two type of column one is
notes column and the other one is the summary column. In the notes column concise sentences
and examples can be given where in the summarize section the notes can be summarize.
Making the mind mapping notes is quite easy in nature. Here I just needed a main title
then I just branch over the main idea into some different kind of subtitle by using very simple

words. In a single sentence this is quite easy compared with the Cornell method. Due to this I
always prefer the Mind Mapping notes over the Cornell notes.
