Introduction
One of the man key features of the code of conduct is promote sustainability. There are
various articles from which relevant source of information can be taken regarding the promoting
sustainability. This review will deal with the five articles those has discussed promoting
sustainability from different perspective. These five different perspectives are- application of
sustainability program in engineering practice, exploring the key factors in order to promote
sustainability in the business, impacts of sustainability management in the business,
sustainability tools and their applications and importance and challenges of promoting
sustainability. All these five papers have elaborately discussed the respective topics from
different perspective, however in this review the main topic of discussion, which is promote
sustainability will be focused.
Discussion
According to the code of conducts for the engineers in Australia, promoting sustainability
enables that the work or the project the engineers are doing is environment friendly
(Engineersaustralia.org.au 2018) . Projects will not harm the future possibilities of development,
along with that the consequences of the work will serve the people and the society positively.
The journal named ‘Cleaner Production’ discusses the application of promoting
sustainability in the field of tourism business (Char-lee, Becken and Watt 2016). The article
states that the application of sustainability can be helpful to the business growth.
In the article ‘International Journal of Project Management’ the promotion of
sustainability has been seen from the project mangers perspective (Martens and Carvalho 2017).

According to this article there are some factors related to the sustainability such as- innovation of
sustainable business model, resource saving and environmental policies and the success of the
business model.
Another article has discussed about the sustainable community rating tools in Australia.
In this article, three community rating tools are defined and after that the comparisons between
those articles have done in order to find the strength and weakness (Xia et al. 2015). The result
obtained from this comparison gives a clearer view for the stakeholders to promote the
sustainability in various fields.
The article named ‘Crafting usable knowledge for sustainable development’ states the
importance of sustainability among the stakeholders and the researchers, while developing a
project (Clark et al. 2016). It has also stated the challenges that arise while promoting the
sustainability.
All the articles have stated the fact, that promoting sustainability is an important factor
which is needed to be considered while developing a project. The articles have supported this
view from different perspective and background.
The article regarding the code of conduct states the general statement about the code of
conduct while second and third article deals with the application of promotion of sustainability.
The fourth article has discussed about the use of sustainability tools for developing the factors to
identify the fields where sustainability can be applicable. In the fifth article it has been discussed
the role of sustainability to develop the understanding level between the stakeholders and the
researchers and developers.

Conclusion
It can be concluded that the structure and the definition of promoting the sustainability is
the same for the every article. The basic definition and the theme of promoting sustainability
have given in the first article, which supports the wellbeing of the society. The rest four topics
have discussed the role of sustainability from various perspectives, which are not related to each
other. However, all those four articles yield the main feature of the sustainability, which is the
wellbeing of the stakeholders.
