MAIN BODY
The Engineering Tooling company was established in North East of the England. The
main items which the company manufactures comprises of engineer's rules, engineering
callipers, scribes and then it involves expanding it to include micrometres and the limited range

scribes , engineer's rules, engineering callipers and after that expanding micrometers and
introduce limited variety of specialist items that need material of high quality and should have
skills to develop accurate as well as long lasting items. Due to Globalisation Competition
increased in north east of England as it is realised that product range commanded respect in

this company try to understand its customer first and what tends to increase loyalty. For
this quality standard are fixed as what market demands.
measure value stream and find out your problems: In this area of waste is determine and
data are collected to find out the specific area of problem that needs to be addressed. Data
is helping to achieve objectives , whether it is require to refine data or not or identify the
problem and ask number of questions and to find out the root cause. So for business
expansion or survival data is collected by engineering Tools and find the reasons behind
the problem.
Get rid of the junk: If the problem is identified there is need to make alteration in the
process to remove variations and remove defects. Activities which do not add customer
value is remove from the process. If it is difficult to reveal the problem so with the help
of tools problem areas and out-liners are discover . Streamline functions are to be follow
in organisation “Engineering tools” to achieve efficiency and maintain quality control. At
last the junk that was mentioned above are removed.
Keep the ball rolling: It include shareholders .structured process is adopted by
organisation where team collaborates and contribute their expertise to solve the problem.
As six sigma process make impact on the company so team became proficient in
