Letter of Experience and Recommendation for Mr. ABBAS AZHARUDDIN SHAIK
towards submission of his Competency Demonstration Report to Engineers Australia
It is a genuine pleasure and honour for me to write this recommendation for Mr. Abbas
Azharuddin Shaik for the purpose of submission of his CDR to Engineers Australia. My
first meeting with Abbas took place when I was chairing the interview committee in my
capacity as the CEO of X_Design Ventures Pvt Ltd and Abbas had appeared for the
position of Project Engineer in our company. We at X_Design were working on a
project with the VNR VJ Institute of Engineering & Technology and the placements
were conducted at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University campus in
Hyderabad. Abbas instantly impressed me and my colleagues by his clarity on
Automotive Driving Simulator which we were planning to develop for Indian
conditions.
Academic record of Abbas shows that he was an excellent student, who could work
both as an independent professional and as a team member. He ably demonstrated this
during his first apprenticeship as Junior Trainee Engineer with Tata Motors Ltd while
he was in the fourth year of his Bachelor’s Degree. He was acclaimed as a brilliant
learner. He again excelled during his three-month training period with AutoSim SA of
Norway. He was associated with the development of the AutoSim range of Driver

Training Simulators as a Senior Trainee Engineer while he was in the final year of his
Bachelor’s Degree.
Abbas showed exemplary qualities of hard-work with diligence during his tenure of
two-and-a-half years as Project Engineer (R&D) with X_Design. On many occasions,
Abbas successfully tackled the assigned projects in a practical, quantitative manner. His
acumen, as a team player having high degree of motivation and innovation, will lead
him to achieve higher goals. During his tenure of eight years with us, Abbas climbed the
success ladder from Project Engineer (R & D) to Product Manager (R & D) and finally
to Project Manager before he took up the position of Operations Supervisor with Flower
Flow Pty Ltd, Melbourne while pursuing his Master of Information Technology with
Charles Sturt University in Melbourne.
At X_Design, Abbas was given a free hand to handle projects such as Sensory
Measurement Unit, Intelligent and Intuitive Signalling System and Driver Safety Index.
His handling of these projects truly in an efficient and professional manner and his
efforts were appreciated by company management. We at X_Design found Abbas to be
the best hired professional in the company and I personally believe that he will touch
new horizons in his career.
On the basis of my observations, I have formed the opinion that Abbas possesses strong
motivation for pursuing a better career as an electronic engineer, especially in the field
of designing microprocessor-based systems, digital signal processing and embedded
system design. With his warm personality and good work endurance, Abbas took all
projects with his team as a prospective challenge with high responsibility.
