Teaching Profession

Teaching is a godly profession as it directs an individual path towards success. A good
teacher is concerned with the overall development of the student. It guides them towards a path
of eternal happiness and satisfaction (Kabir , 2018). My purpose of becoming a teacher is to
bring a positive difference in a student’s life by nurturing their dreams and helping them in
achieving it. I am fully prepared to work with the students with disabilities or in a minority of the
classroom. As I believe that these are the sections who need the highest care to grow and to
achieve the great heights in the career. I have also done one-year internship in teaching the
disable students which gave me the great exposure in the field of managing and teaching the
students with disability. In my High-school days I have also participated in various programs and
attended the workshops focused on the needs of disabled people. One of the programs which I
have attended on “students with disabilities” had also offered the one-year diploma in
management of disability among students. These experiences had empowered me to be capable
of handling disable students.
As a good team leader in past, I managed teams with great efficiency. In a high school, I
have participated in many cultural feasts and I was awarded with the great team leader award. I
have personally come across situations in managing teams where I had to confront with different
opinions of the team members. There was an instance, in one of the cultural feasts where I as a
team leader had an argument with one of the team members who want red curtains for the feast.
In the end, I had to peacefully resolve with the red curtains due to the increased number of
members supporting the decision. These situations in the past had made me comfortable to work
in the team. There will be various instances where many decisions will be implemented against
my opinions so such situations can be dealt with patience. The thought that the implementation
of the decisions of the team members does not mean the decision taken is wrong, it is only
another way of seeing things.
Yes, my communication and interpersonal skills prepare me to interact successfully with
the parents or other stakeholders in the school community. As I have a good command in English
and my experiences as a team leader had prepared me well to interact with people with different
cultures well. In the past, I was the head of placement counselling committee of my high-school
where I had to discuss with the parents of students regarding placements. I had also conducted
various programs where I was the public speaker in college addressing the last year students

seeking placements. The second important factor regarding my good interpersonal skills is that I
grew up in a joint family where I had my cousins. The regular interaction with them had made
me good in interpersonal communication skills.
