I have been really privileged to complete my education in one of the good colleges in
Australia. I have come to the end of my course and will be school soon. All the years that I have
spent here are really very significant in my life. This is because they have taught me so many
important aspects of life. I have come across many different novels, plays, and poems as part of
my academic curriculum. This has really helped to enlighten my knowledge. I believe that this
knowledge will surely be very helpful for me in the future years of my life. I will be able to
apply the knowledge and the wisdom that I have received from the academic curriculum.
I will be narrating some of the important incidents in my life and how they have been
reshaped during my schooling years. There are many concepts and ideas that have been
undergoing several changes since I started with my schooling years. One of the famous plays that
were truly inspirational is The Kite Runner (Sundaresan, Sumathi and Kolappadhas 2018).
During my early years, I was ignorant of the ways of the world. I did not think about any
problems or any difficult times that might arrive soon after any hours of happiness. In other
words, I felt that the happy hours would last forever. However, after reading this play, I have
come across a quote that says "I'm so afraid. Because I'm so profoundly happy. Happiness like
this is frightening…They only let you this happy if they're preparing to take something from
you". This has really influenced me a lot. I have realized that life is a mixture of sadness and
happiness. However, I have also felt some negative vibes in this quote.
Happiness always does not follow by an impending loss or it is not always at the cost if
some other rater losses. However, this quote has helped me to stay alert about the sad chapters
that might crop up in life at any point in time. So, I must always stay mentally prepared. This
will surely help me in this transitional phase from a school student to an adult individual I have
also learned that one can face all the tough situations by staying strong and fearless. I will try to

face all the tough situations by staying strong. I have also learned that there are a lot of cultural
barriers existing in the world and I might also face the same in case of pursuing my higher
studies or even while doing any job search. I will try to remove all the barriers and remove the
hatred by inculcating respect and love among one another. I will try to work for gender equality
and cross-cultural competence in any workplace that I might join in future.
The other novel that has been very beneficial for me is the novel called on two feet and
wings. This really helps to incubate a huge amount of courage within each and every reader
(Susan Rakoczy 2017). I am really very thankful for my school and my teachers for including
this story as a part of the curriculum. I have studied this with great interest and I came to know
that how a young boy manages to live all by himself in a totally unknown land. His childhood
was totally snatched from him. He had to stay away from his family and friends. However, he
did not lose hope and continued to live his life in the midst of all hardships. This has also
inspired me a lot. I will follow the courage and the cleverness that has been exhibited by Abbas,
the main character of the novel. I have often suffered from nervous breakdowns during times of
huge tension and pressure. Thoughts of staying in an unknown land used to haunt me like
anything. I knew that after completing my studies I will have to move to some unknown place
and work with some unknown people as well. This will surely not be easy for me. I was also not
very courageous to take-up any challenging task, I feared that I will not be able to complete it
and the results will be something disastrous. However, after reading this novel, I have been
greatly influenced. I have realized that firm determination and courage is the key to success. I
have been really inspired a lot by the way a little boy like Abbas starts earning his bread without
even being able to get a glimpse of his family or friends.

The other important text that was really inspiring is Romeo and Juliet by William
Shakespeare (Snyder 2015.) I have been witnessing several violence and quarrels throughout my
schooling years. I remember that there were students who were not allowed to speak or mingle
with others due to some social reasons. One of the major reasons was some kind of family
turmoil or differences in the social status. I have seen that this really creates a negative impact on
the mind of the students. This play has taught me how to let go of all kinds of past turmoil and
unite with each other through the eternal bond of love. I will be following these same principles
in the later years of life.
So, I am really thankful to my school for teaching me all the valuable life lessons. I will
be able to use these lessons in the future years. However, I know that this transitional phase will
be very difficult but also exciting at the same time. I will look forward towards a bright future
where I can work for some noble and good cause. I will be able to help many people at my
workplace in the future. I will try to set the example of brave Abbas and his courage whenever I
find myself or any of my close acquaintances in depression. I will also try to respect all the
people around me irrespective of their caste, status, religion or political backgrounds.
