giving credit to other researchers. It is a method of acknowledging other scholar’s ideas and their
contribution. It is not only for the reasons mentioned, but also displaying the research paper as a
well conducted research paper. A paper can include approximately 20 percent or less quoted
material. One can retain a strong presence in one’s work by critically analyzing the other’s
words. Through critical analysis, one can make use of the information and convey their opinion
about the information (Kornhaber et al., 2015).

Finding adequate source for research can be difficult for students and it is turning more
and more students to internet when they are asked to do research for their assignment. Some of
the reliable sources for research are very essential for the student to know in order to not carry

cautions since there is possibility of getting flawed information. Apart from the mentioned

Wikipedia and other form of sources however it is important get their credibility checked.

The act of taking credit for someone else’s words or ideas is called Plagiarism.
Plagiarism is called the act of intellectual dishonesty and it is a serious issue in the academic
career that comes with serious consequences. It even violates university honor code and causes
irreparable damage to any student’s reputation.
Plagiarism is unethical for mainly three reasons. Firstly, plagiarism is a form of theft. It is
taking words and ideas of others and pretending it to as their own. Secondly, it is ethical as the
plagiarizer subsequently benefit from the theft. Thirdly, a person’s degree is the evidence of its
holder’s knowledge and abilities. Therefore, when the people earn the degree of something about
which he does not have any knowledge, it is a risk to the society (Babaii & Nejadghanbar, 2017).
Plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, it remains an acute offence. Waldorf
University has stringent policies for students who are found offenders of plagiarism. A failing
grade can be recorded by the professor for any plagiarized paper, assignment or test. Moreover,
the professor can fail the student for the entire course. Students may also be expelled from
Waldorf University for conducting plagiarism as it is against the strict rule of the university
