INTRODUCTION
Overview: The current essay is based on building up activities that are of English grammar with
the use of authentic materials meaning that material will be identifying need of students. The
whole essay will be including grammar teaching approaches and activities as well. The authentic
materials for grammar activities includes like that of articles, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs
and adverbs.
Information required: All these are important content which need to be studied into English
grammar in way of framing sentence and improving vocabulary as well. Other information like
taking 9 years of primary school students and their ability level is intermediate so topic taken are
articles, nouns and pronouns. Here, 3rd standard will be considered. There are 24 students within
class including both girls and boys in almost equal ratio. The topic chosen is adjective the
activity will be that of writing and reading grammar activities. This will be helpful in teaching
grammar and then writing it up so that adjectives could be learned in proper manner.
MAIN BODY
2 (a) Communication competence: It is that part which shed light on the several parts of
grammar and the effects of linguistic theories. Here the knowledge of social skills along with the
specified six levels of English are included.
Description- It is an individual-centric approach which is related with the four communication
competence like strategic competence, socio-linguistic, linguistic and discourse. This draws a
map of developing cognitive abilities of kids through speech and memory based activities.
Moreover, it assists in generating awareness to conduct services, events etc. to boost a child's
overall confidence level and motivation to perform tasks.
With respect to organising group activities, the class atmosphere must be made easy and
convenient by mingling them through proper introductory classes (Sharifian, 2017). Such
environment must be created through giving demos on how to interact with each other and divide
them into small groups to make the communication channels smooth.
2 (b) Sources to be used- By conducting group activities in classrooms to make them
comfortable with others and improve the environment. Along with this, designing spreadsheets
to engage children in several tests to understand their vocabulary, overall usage of words, and
execution of phonology, morphology and syntax.

(a) Modal Verbs: This is that type of verbs which indicate towards the use of helping words
while framing a sentence.
Description- it mainly deals with using a basic type of verb and combine it with modal like
might, could, should, shall, may etc. Primarily these are used together with main verbs and help
in interpreting the real meaning behind the sentence formation.
With respect to conducting seminars and session, it will be done on regular intervals in
each week to make the children understand on the usage of modal verbs. It would emphasis on
understanding the main verbs and other interconnectivity with nouns, adjectives and pronouns.
(b) Sources to be used- Activities like conducting seminars, sessions would help the children to
use these modal verbs wither in pure modal verbs or semi-modal verbs. Assessment tests can
also be conducted to give proper training on the usage of it with main verbs (Cook, 2016).
(a) Teaching of Grammar: This section contains the foundation of grammar for children of
sixth standard in everyday spoken English to maintain the need of understanding it effectually.
Description- It included different levels of Grammar topics like parts of speech, use of modal
verbs etc. and its usage to improve the structural changes in English. For instance, the language
has six levels such as phonetics, morphology, syntax, pragmatics and semantics. It is
understandable that teachers are required to make the children understand the six levels and its
overall impact in their lives and for growth and development as well (Hall, 2017). For level 1,
that is phonetics would be used through International Phonetic Alphabet which equates to a
specific sound. This sound is later connected to vowels and consonants.
In context to activities, these sheets will be prepared by the teachers so that authenticity
must be prevailed. It would help in improving the team work and discussions will lead to more
clarity. With the help of dividing groups, there is proper running of classes leading to
understanding the grammar part in context to six levels. Children will gain knowledge through
continuous assessments and tests through marking.
(b) Sources to be used- Worksheets including several small tests and word games would be
included to attract the attention of students. The sheets would be helpful in bringing their
understanding of the activities that would be conducted. For this, Collins Co-build Advanced
Learners English Dictionary would be use.

any of the given language. So for the present essay the activities of topics taken are like that of
articles, nouns and pronouns. As the article system is sub divided into 2 categories including

need to be authentic so that information could be extract from there. These online source will be
covering various meaning and use of English grammar like that of articles, nouns and pronouns
which are used.
All information gathered will be from authentic sources only as they will be having
correct meaning and use of articles, pronoun and noun. The Standard-Based English Language
Curriculum Revised 2017 (SBELC) states the changes into role of teaching and assessment. This
assessment will be having formative meaning continuous process and summative parts meaning
final product. So for this curriculum will set up benchmark level of all pupils for their
achievement and progress towards the meeting of standards. There are certain numbers of
elements which are mentioned with higher order thinking skills like that of aims, objectives,
focus, and the higher order thinking skills and cross curricular elements as well. This is widely
used grammar teaching approaches which is practices into primary school of Malaysia. As this
will be implemented in such a way in which affect all pupils and teachers associated with
primary education. So this source is helpful in identifying the grammar teaching approaches
which are affecting their standard in English language curriculum.
In regard to the above, the implementation part in terms of using sources of titles 1, 2 and
3 respectively did receive few issues which were overcome by several techniques, approaches
and tools. The below points are based on the titles mentioned in above part.

Communication competence: It emphasized on the problems like conducting the demos and
power-point presentations on time without any technical glitches. This involves emotions such as
lack of confidence, stage fear, and no motivation to face the audience or interact with new
people. In addition to this, I would conduct these demos in presence of all the children and their
counsellors so that any discomfort can be avoided. It would help in developing amiable
relationships between the kids, counsellors and teachers like me.
Modal Verbs: This section is crucial because it forms the basis for knowledge. Hence, I faced
many issues. The children found it difficult to understand the difference between the main verbs,
auxiliary verbs and modal. I tried to rectify it through promoting one-to-one interaction with
each kid to understand their levels of grasping the basic and the small details to avoid any
committing mistakes. This helped me to bring innovative conceptual frameworks to attract their
attention to use modal in proper manner.
Teaching of Grammar: The issue is that different kids have different abilities and grasping
competencies. Thus, I found out that few needed special attention so I divided my time according
to the scheduling and overall allotted time for completion of activities on time with effectiveness.
Thus, I would segregate the entire time in proper slots according to formed groups so that there
must no interferences from external sources to hamper the environment. This would help me to
evaluate the performance of children in transparent channels through employing the technique
efficiently.
CONCLUSION
It has been summarized that grammar is the foundation of English language. This shed
light on conducting activities to make the learning better and interesting. Herein, it is
demonstrated that all the mentioned three titles would prove beneficial in framing the foundation
of English and its utility in everyday lives. There was also identification of several issues in
relation to executing the activities by suggesting few solutions to curb it in the near future.
Lastly, it emphasized on conducting group activities and sessions in order to make the children
from sixth standard more aware and knowledgeable.
