Introduction
Racism is the belief that someone is superior to others and possesses differential behavioral
traits. Racism can also be predetermined by the human inborn biological which relates to the
physical appearance and based on the superiority (Paradies,2016). In simple words, racism can
also be defined as the distinction between the superior or inferior to another race-related to
discrimination, prejudice or antagonism. In this essay, the cause and effect of racism will be
evaluated.
Cause and effect of cause 1
Discrimination between the different groups, religions and modern man is the major cause of
racism. People are discriminated against several things such as disability, age, race, religion,
language, belief, origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, etc. The major discrimination
which has seen is between the different religions and groups in which people are treated
differently for a particular belief (Berger and Sarnyai, 2015). The discrimination of the different
groups or religions causes a great impact on the society and country as it results in the
depression, sadness, anxiety, emptiness and the feeling of guilt. They also have a great effect
which translates into the loss of interest, depression, stress-related ailments, and eating disorders.
Racism has a great impact on the physical and mental health of a person. The biasness in the
religion and group also results in breaking the country into two parts and damages the economy
of the country.

Racism is due to the different individual behaviors related to the difference in the cultural values
and patters or due to norms and practices. Racial discrimination occurs when there is a difference
in individual behavior and results in the barrier of the radicalized person. Every organization has
its own culture in which they value the particular communication style (Dolezsar, et al., 2014). If
any individual has a different language then people dominant them and superior takes advantage
of the company. The major cause of racism is racial prejudice and social values. The major
discrimination has been seen in the white and black and these dissimilarities are perceived due to
the differences in the values attributed to the individuals. The concept of prejudices also applies
to cultural racism.
The major impact has been seen in the White and Black people as due to the racism in the color
black and the poor people are dominated by white and wealthy people which frequently resulting
in committing the crimes (Nazroo, 2013). Due to the discrimination of the skin color and social
status people are considering they inferior and affecting their physical and mental health.

The main cause of racism is related to intolerance and the means of their perpetuation. Another
cause of intolerance involves economic and educational disadvantage, psychological
victimization, social and political marginalization, and legal vulnerability and discrimination.
The intolerances have been increasing between the children and the women’s, indigenous people,
migrants and refugees, mental and physical disorders and decedents people. All these causes
have a negative impact and people are fighting against it (Reading and de Leeuw, 2014). Racism
acts like they are being harassed or abused and they don’t need to involve in the intimidating and

violent behavior. People have different actions and attitudes so racism is revealed with that and
affecting the dignity and equality among the society because of the different races.
Racism has a great effect on the people as it lowers down the motivation and the performance of
the people and causes violence among the people. It also disrupts the mental health and also
affects psychological functioning (Prather, et al., 2016). Racism also impacted human rights and
incasing the psychological torture, discrimination, and poverty. The business among the people
is increasing and it is affecting the ethics and prosperity also.
Conclusion
From the above essay, it has been evaluated that there were several reasons behind the cause of
racism which as stated and their impact on the country and society is also negative. The major
reason behind racism is discrimination among age, race, religion, language, belief, origin,
ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, etc. The major discrimination which has seen is related to
the black and white skin color among the people in which while are dominating the black and
poor people. Racism has a great impact on the mental and physical health of the people and it
also includes the loss of interest, depression, stress-related ailments, etc.
