AI Summary
This English Literature assignment showcases two parts. Part 1 presents a first-person narrative describing a loving relationship, emphasizing the emotions and experiences of the narrator. The narrative vividly portrays the affection and joy within the relationship, using descriptive language to evoke feelings of excitement, confidence, and lasting love. Part 2 focuses on the writing technique of 'showing vs. telling,' providing examples to illustrate the difference. It contrasts telling, which is often vague and less engaging, with showing, which uses specific details to create a more vivid and immersive experience for the reader. The assignment includes examples of both techniques to highlight their impact on storytelling, demonstrating how showing can enhance the reader's understanding and emotional connection to the narrative.

Part – 1
The love that I have for my husband is undeniable. When he walks in a room I can
feel the overwhelming excitement in my belly, kind of like butterflies as if we had just met.
He gives me so much love and affection that spills over through hugs and kisses. What some
woman would die to have. Being able to walk alongside a partner that all fills me with
confidence and joy, gives me the happiness which I never felt I would experience in my life.
All those talks that we have while walking together beside the lake at the back of the
house, all those hugs and kisses, those promises that we make to each other under the
moonlight glittering on the water of the lake, it all seems to me to be part of a fantasy. I wish
sometimes time would stop right here so that we can be here for all eternity…just the two of
us…. together…forever!! I want us to be sitting here under this moonlight talking about our
future, when we would be having kids, who would play here. Finally, I think about the time
when we would grow old together…me and my retired husband spending the last few years
of their lives in this place, beside the lake, under the same moonlight as it is now. This indeed
is magical.
