With the changes in technologies, health care institutes are more inclined towards
using the advanced technologies and digital games to enhance the learning of the healthcare.
As widely recognized, digital games to enhance the learning of healthcare is gaining
momentum. It is evaluated that when the students are asked to play digital games then they
are left to use their own divergent thinking and analytical skills to make effective decisions.
The digital games allow players to test different hypotheses and learn from their actions.
Games also provide self-assessment tools such as mechanisms score and social dimensions
analysis and learning process technique (Castro-Sánchez, et al. 2016). Furthermore, digital
games also allow health care students to implement their effective divergent thinking to make
effective decisions. These types of games open up the wider aspects of the mind. In addition
to this, digital games allows give a good learning to students in various aspects such as
communication, social skills, personal development, active learning, scaffolding and other
learning aspects. These digital games are very complex and advanced which allows players to
understand all the technical terms. It helps healthcare students to understand various technical
words and learn advanced technologies through games which could be used further in the
health and social care services (de Ribaupierre, et al, 2014).
Therefore, after evaluating all the facts and figures, all these learning through digital
games contribute in improvement of the engagement in learning and individual learning
experience. Nonetheless, it is necessary to investigate how these digital games could be
combined with the dimensions- cognitive, emotional and social learning process of the player
(Guze, 2015).
