INTRODUCTION
Enterprise architecture is a appropriate method of practice that analysis enterprise design,
planning and implementation of various strategies, organisational structure in order to achieve
current and future objectives of firm. Therefore this report is about an case study of Govdept that
is midsized government department that provide social service to large population in order to
uplift their lifestyles. The report analysis various roles played by IT Department and fact that are
delivered by EA artifacts. It also explains about taxonomy of document and operating model that
company will use in order to gain competitive advantages. At last it describe about various vision
of EA Artifact and initiative that need to be taken by IT departments.
1 Comprehensive roadmap about various project need to be executed
Govdept has prepared comprehensive roadmap about various projects that need to be
executed so that it can render qualitative products and services to customers. Comprehensive
roadmap is prepared to improve technology, structure of organisation and management practise
so that company can easily expand its business operation (Närman, Johnson and Gingnell, 2016).
Therefore various projects that need to be included in comprehensive roadmap are as follows:
To improve IT: Company has to plan to use innovative information technology so that it can
easily collect large number of information and formulate appropriate strategies in order to
maximise its sales and meet need of people. Company can improve its information technology
within 4-5 month by finding various sources of fund and their effective implementation in
technology.
Redesigning organisational structure: Next project that should be started by company is to
redesign its organisational structure so that employees can easily exchange information with each
others (Schilling, Haki and Aier, 2018). Redesigning of organisational structure also helps in
effective distribution of roles and responsibilities that need to be performed by each department
and employees that are working with firm. Therefore company in order to residing organisational
structure it will take time frame of 1-2 year as it had to recruit new and expert employees.
Evaluation of effective implementation of various projects: At third stage of comprehensive
plan company need to plan way in which it can monitor and evaluates effective implementation
of project. By analysing sales, profitability, customer’s satisfaction and employee performances
