1. The GovDept is a department of government that provides essential services of social
nature to a population of large territory. The projects that can be executed by the company
in the next 2-3 years include implementation of various technologies in the company and
the deployment of the enterprise architecture in the company.
2. Information technology will play an important role if it is implemented in the Company
(Lohrke, Frownfelter-Lohrke and Ketchen Jr 2016). The roles that IT will play if it is
implemented in the company include:
Communication: Communication is an essential aspect of business. However, with the
advent of internet and computers, the communication with the help of internet has been
redefined. It is possible to contact anyone with the help of internet communication. The
department of IT in the company can achieved through email, video conferencing, social
media and many more
Management of data: This is another function that the company can perform when the
information technology will be implemented. There are various types of data in a
database and IT will help the company to store, manage and access the data
Marketing: Marketing is one of the core aspects of a business. With the advent of
computers and internet, the company can develop marketing campaigns.
Process improvement: When the IT will be implemented in the company, it will assist to
upgrade the procedures of the organization. There are various softwares that can help to
upgrade the procedures of the organization by automating the procedures
Function of ERP: ERP will help to link the various functions of the organization into one
unit. These systems can help in improving the operations of the company and make
strategic decisions for the company.
3. The five EA artifacts that will be delivered in 2-3 months by the company includes
(Kotusev 2019):

Technology reference models: it offers standard sets of technologies those are available to
be utilised in the project of IT
Business capability models: It offers views those are structured of all the business
capabilities of the company on single page
Roadmaps: it offers views of the future investment of IT those are structured with
timelines aligned to various capabilities or areas of business.
Landscape diagrams: it describes connections between different applications, platforms,
databases those are high level and that cover large part of the IT landscape.
Solution overviews: It describes the particular projects of IT in business-oriented manner
consisting of their architectures, estimated cost, timelines and value of business.
4. The taxonomy of documentations that will be implemented in the company includes
designs (Kotusev 2017). It is focused on information technology and the artifacts that will
be identified from the design documentation is detailed designs, specifications of
solutions, blueprints, full solution architectures and many more.
It will be implemented in the company because it will help to implement the projects of
information technology according to the business and requirements of the enterprise
architecture. The benefits that the documentation will provide are that upgraded quality of the
project that will be delivered.
5. The operating model that can be implemented in the company is diversification model.
This operating model is chosen because it has low standardization of process and low
integration of data (Bollard et al 2017). In this model, the business of the company will be
managed autonomously, the company can design their own business procedures, and the
company have little customers and suppliers. The IT landscape consists of services and
infrastructures of IT and local databases and applications by particular units of business.

6. The roles of standards in the implementation of EA in the company are that it will provide
information about the present technology stack, approaches of implementation, and the
best practices (Steenkamp et al 2019). It will answers the questions of the company like
the technology and the products that will be used, approaches and best practices that will
be followed and many more.
The role of landscape is that it will provide the information about the existing resources
of IT of the company, the status of the assets and the interrelationship among the assets of IT.
It will answer the questions like the assets those are maintained by the company, the IT
resources that can cause problems in the future and many more.
7. The five types of initiatives that will be very important for the company will be (Deng
and Xu 2017:
Fundamental initiatives: this intuitive originates from the process of strategic planning to
address the needs of business.
Strategic initiative: these originate from the process of strategic planning to address the
particular strategic business requirements
Local initiatives: It originates from the process of strategic planning to address the
particular local business requirements.
Urgent initiatives: It is implemented to address the specific urgent requirements of
business.
Architectural initiatives: these are the initiatives those are implemented in order to
upgrade the overall landscape of IT.
8. The considerations describe the rules of conceptual and the considerations those are
important for the business (Guizzardi, Guarino and Almeida 2016). The considerations
generally represent the planning of decisions on the way the organization needs to work

the artifacts of IT that will be delivered to the EA of the company include principles,
policies, and conceptual models of data, analytical reports and direction statements.
9. The vision offers conceptual descriptions those are of high-level of the company from the
perspective of business. It represents planning the decisions on the things that information
technology should deliver to a company (Aldea et al 2018). The main aim of the vision is
to assist align the investments of to the outcomes of business those are long term. The
appropriate utilisation of vision leads to upgraded strategic alignment and the
effectiveness of investments of IT. The five subtypes of vision include business capability
models, roadmaps, target states, value chains and diagrams of context.
