1. Introduction
Enterprise Architecture is one of the massive technology that is being used in several
business as it have been increasing the operational efficiency in the working process. This is
one of the major aspect that is to be considered. The report discusses about the road map of
kinds of projects that are to be undertaken by the organization in recent years. Artifacts are
also considered in this section along with the operating model that is to be implemented. This
report also provides a brief understanding of the benefits that are provided by IT in the
operational field.
2. Discussion
2.1. Roadmap
The process of developing roadmap for GovDepts will be performed in 3 major steps.
The projects that will be selected by the organization needs to pass 3 major prototypic factors.
The factors are namely Feasibility, efficiency and desirability are the aspects that are to be
considered in the section. In the initial stages the feasibility of the projects that are to be
performed are seen, after checking the feasibility, efficiency of the project is seen and after
checking the efficiency of the project, desirability of the project is seen.
The projects that are to be taken after implementation of EA in the operational process
needs to be IT related as IT department is one of the most benefitted department after EA
Incorporation.
2.2. Key roles IT will be playing in the GovDepts
Better the communication section: With the help of the IT implementation in the
GovDepts the communication process in between the employees of the organization is

ought to increase. This includes the fact that data sharing will be performed in a better
manner.
Increase the efficiency of the operational process: With the help of IT
implementation, better analysis of the data that are required for performing the task
can be done. This ensures that there will be higher accuracy in completion of the
projects.
Better data handling: Data that are collected are stored in a robust manner. Data that
are stored can be used for future projects as well as references.
Reduced business cost: The resources that will be required for completion of the tasks
with the help of IT gets reduced and hence the cost that is required for completion of
the projects also decreases.
Higher mobility: the data transaction process also gets performed in a better manner.
The data are transacted in a manner that helps in increasing the centralization of the
information that are to be distributed.
2.3. EA Artifacts
The five key Enterprise Architecture (EA) artifacts which would be delivered in 2-3
months are Considerations, Outlines, Standards, Designs and Visions (Niemi and Pekkola
2017). In spite of the variety of the recognized EA artifacts appropriate to every single type,
these five common types of the EA artifacts practically precisely define leading communal
things of all the associated EA artifacts. Exactly, these five common types of the EA artifacts
describe that what the EA artifacts define, the process of using these, the purpose of these EA
artifacts and the profits outcome from their practice.

This are the rules that are concentrated on the business. The EA artifacts that are
associated to this type recognized in the organization containing the policies, principles, core
drivers, theoretical data models, strategy papers, whitepapers, governance papers, strategies
of architecture, maxims and position papers. All of these EA artifacts are defined the global
rules of conceptual also the consideration significant for the business also applicable for the
IT (Kotusev 2016). The considerations are established collaboratively by the senior leaders of
the business and the architects also then they are used to impact all the decisions of the
architect. The purpose of them is to assistance and attain agreement on the simple principles,
instructions, aims also the values. The appropriate use of the considerations is indicated to
improve complete theoretical consistency.
Standards:
This are the rubrics which are focused on the IT. The EA artifacts associated to the
common type that are known in the organizations containing the guidelines, IT principles,
standards, reference architectures in addition to the technology, data models, patterns,
application, reference models of security, infrastructure and platform (Kotusev 2017). All of
these EA artifacts are defined the universal technical rules, patterns, standards and the best
follows applicable for the systems of IT. The standards are established by architects also the
subject-matter experts who are from the technical department and after that it used to impact
the architectures of all the projects of IT. The resolution of them is to help and accomplish the
technical consistency, regulatory agreement and technological similarity. The correct use of
this standards is pointed to decreased costs, complexity and risks.
Visions:
These are the structures that are focused on the business. The EA artifacts correlated

capability, the models of value reference, the diagrams of business context, the reference
architectures of business, the activity models of the business, the process maps of the
enterprise, the architectures of the upcoming state and all the types of the roadmaps. All of
these EA artifacts deliver the advanced theoretical explanations of any organization from
perspective of the business. The visions are established collaboratively by the senior
frontrunners of the business also the architects and after that this is used to control also
highlight all the initiatives of the IT (Kotusev 2017). The motive of them is to help and
succeed the configuration in the middle of the investments of the IT and the outcomes of the
business. The appropriate use of the visions is indicated to upgraded usefulness of the
investments of IT.
Outlines:
These are the changes which are focused on the business. The EA artifacts that are
connected to the common type recognized in any organizations consisting of the conceptual
architectures, conceptual designs, overviews of the solution, briefs of the solution,
architectures of the preliminary solution, outlines of the solution, briefs of the idea, proposals
of the solution, enterprise summaries, the cases of the investment, solution assessments and
the options papers. All of these EA artifacts deliver the high-level explanations of precise
projects of IT comprehensible to all the leaders of the business (Kotusev 2019). The outlines
are established collaboratively by the architects also by the business leaders and after that this

provided the complete technical descriptions of the distinct projects of the IT that are
actionable for the total teams of this project. These are established collaboratively by the
architects, business representatives and the project teams and after that this are used by
project teams to execute the IT projects (Zhang, Chen and Luo 2018). The motive of them is
to help and execute the IT projects permitting to the business also the necessities of architect.
The appropriate use of this leads to enhanced the quality of delivery of the project.
2.4. Taxonomy
After analysing all the EA artifacts that are recognized in the GovDept and these EA
artifacts can assemble into five common types on source of the description of these EA
artifacts and the process of their description.
First of all, all the EA artifacts can categorize founded on objects of the explanation
from more general ones to additional definite ones, into the Rules, Changes and Structures
(Hacks et al. 2019). The rules are described extensive global rules outlining the GovDept or
its divisions, structures are described the high-level structures of GovDept or its parts,
whereas the changes are described definite planned changes to this organization named
GovDept.
Next, all the EA artifacts can be categorized based on terminology of the process of
description into the Business-Focused also the IT-Focused (Brosius, Aier and Haki 2017).
The EA artifacts that are Business-Focused are naturally technology neutral also used the

language of business language such as money, business goals, customers, competitive
advantages, capabilities and many more whereas the EA artifacts that are IT-Focused are
generally decently technical also used the languages of IT-specific such as systems,
databases, applications, networks, platforms and many more.
The joining of these above discussed two orthogonal categorizations produces
taxonomy with the five common types of EA artifacts such as Considerations, Standards,
Visions, Outlines and Designs which are already discussed in the previous question.
2.5. Operating model
The operating model is actually the another name of the Enterprise architecture model
and it is represented mapping in the middle of the business and strategy architecture domains
also the other domains of EA.
Several organizations are took the different paths to the international delivery also
sometime end up with the unclear mesh of the models of delivery. The operating models of
future integrate numerous service suppliers, the cloud solutions and the global delivery, but
for doing this such a way that this is properly managed and united into the wider plan
(Proença and Borbinha 2017). The ISG Operating Model Design and the Execution
framework is selected to implement in this project in the GovDept. This is helped the
companies to make the set of combined building blocks which optimize value, processes,
services, governance, people, organization and technology so that this can achieve their goals.
This methodology captures the view of supply chain of the services delivery with focus on
the business value.
2.6. Roles of Standard and Landscapes
The roles of the standard and the landscapes in implementation of the EA of GovDept
are as follows:

These are the structures that are IT-Focused. The EA artifacts associated to this
common type recognized in GovDept including the platform architectures, application
portfolios, relational diagrams, system interaction diagrams, integration contexts and many
more (Essien and Oussena 2019). All these are delivered high-level technical explanations of
GovDept’s IT landscape. These are established also preserved by the architects also used to
support the technical conclusion making also the enable project planning. The motive of this
employees of GovtDebt is to help explain IT landscape, plan IT projects and accomplish the
lifecycle of IT assets. The appropriate use of Landscapes can increase the reuse and
flexibility also decreased legacy and duplication.
ii) Standards:
It is the rules of IT-Focused and this represent the proven reusable for the execution
of the IT project (von Stein and Hacks 2018). It is helped the GovDept to achieve the
technical consistency, regulatory compliances and the homogeneity.
