This paper describes the fundamentals of enterprise architecture for international
student admission along with the importance of it in an organization. Student admission
process involves registration, authentication, validating enrolment details and other critical
details. The enterprise architecture is used to determine the current architecture of certain
organization along with the future architecture. It also provides multiple opportunities to
enhance the organizational system for betterment. The major tenacity of the enterprise
architecture is to assist the organization to accomplish the existed and future goals. The
implementation process of enterprise architecture is associates with several activities which
are necessary development of its framework and its components in a sequential manner in
order to construct the blue print of certain enterprises. Enterprise architecture is used to assist
delivery an array of outcome including efficiency, agility and improvements to the
effectiveness. The applications of the enterprise architecture is not limited to these
functionalities, it also assist the organization to improve the capability of the organization for
continuous organizational innovation and change competency. Excluding previous benefits,
enterprise architecture can offer other benefits. It offers a stronger technology infrastructure
at the central technology core, decreases duplication of services and effort, upsurges reuse of
existing systems and corresponding components, reduce total cost of service ownership,
reduces risk and exposure and guides where a service belongs on the service level (public
good, community and toll). Most of the organization used enterprise architecture in order to
connect, collect and proper communication to end users by reducing the complexity with
merging with different business strategic vision.
This report also includes a brief description of the University of Wollongong and their
current structure along with future architecture. UOW organization has almost eight entities
and they are collaborating with each other to achieve the organizational goals. Their current

is identified as a suitable framework for the architecture as it offers designing and
implementation of IT architecture. It also supports open, standard SOA reference architecture
while it supports other architectural styles, such as traditional object-oriented, CS, or BS
architectures. Further, their current state is described with some certain procedures for
admitting a student into UOW. Eligible students for admission in UOW also needs to accept
and follow some basic set of rules and regulation while applying. Such policies are also
described broadly in this report. After evaluating all the possibilities, later a gape analysis is
conducted to construct the future information systems architecture and construct a gap
analysis of the two architecture. It has been found that, even though the current architecture is
very sustainable, the future system can enhanced and made convenient for students and
agents applying from all over the world.
