Aim
In Practical Exercises 1 and 2 you tested and implemented mail systems. We used the
free mail client “Thunderbird” to test mail connectivity.
In this exercise we will investigate, install, configure and review 3 mail clients and
determine which client that you feel would fulfil the needs of email service.
In addition, we will also investigate, install, configure and review 3 clients to VoIP systems
and determine which client that you feel would fulfil the needs of client requirement
This exercise should be completed as an individual activity.
This exercise will be completed within a VMware Workstation Environment.
You must maintain an error log sheet and mention how you troubleshot the issues.
Read the entire activity before starting!!!
Document the steps that you followed in your Journal. Journal must have full
screen and clear screenshots.
Load the Exchange mail server
In this activity we will restore our deployment from Prac 2 in order to test other mail
clients.
The mail server deployment should be completed as an individual activity, so if you have
not developed your own deployment of Exchange Server 2013/2016 then you should do
so now.
Load your Prac 2 environ
Test your Prac 2 environ
Activity 1 ( Test Mail Clients)
In this activity we will research, download and install 3 commonly used mail client
programs.
You have already installed Thunderbird. This counts as one package.
Using the internet, locate other common mail clients.
Where appropriate download trial packages.
Microsoft Outlook should be one of these products.
Install each client software set.
Configure the firewall to allow the mail communication with the server

ensure that any software installed on the base OS is removed and that your machine
has been left in a better state than you found it in.
