The three organizations that has been selected for this assignment are Oracle, Odin and
IFS. Enterprise Resource Planning is one of the most advanced technology which helps the
management system in terms of providing any services. It is basically a database which is shared
to manage the process involved in the organization through various activities and applications
(Madapusi and Ortiz 2019). With the three organizations all the details are being provided in this
report.
Nowadays, the demand for implementing ERP in an organization is increasing at a fast
pace. There are varied range of strategies related to the implementation of ERP depending on
vendors offering different services (Ali and Miller 2017). There are some leading vendors such
as Oracle, Odin and IFS who ensures passing through the same methodology and different
phases which are as following:
To prepare and plan- This phase is the starting phase of the project in which proper
preparation and planning is required. It includes identification of the issues, creating the
scope specification, schedule of the project and plan.
Design- This step helps in getting through the whole architecture and detailed requirements.
In addition, the design highlighting has to be evolved including the following phases.
Development-The designs were specified earlier are developed in this phase. Multiple
features and configurations will be added to finalize the required model for going live.
Testing- This step is the most required element after the development phase. Although, there
is overlapping of this step with the development phase (Schlichter, Klyver and Haug 2018).
In order to meet the client needs it is responsible for testing in a systematic manner.

Deployment- In this step, the installation will be arranged at the sites of the customer. Here,
all the system is tested accurately for the smooth functioning (Shen, Chen and Wang 2016) .
Thus, it can be defining as the previous step taken before going live.
Operation- This is the last step in which the ERP system is all set to go live after having
proper testing and user are in a position to use the system.

The architecture of Enterprise Resource Planning system plays a major role in
determining its durability and growth. ERP systems are intended to make use of various
applications, as well as any data involved in it (Jagoda and Samaranayake 20117). There are two
systems in ERP known as two-tiered and three-tiered. In the financial year 2019, the financial
position of Oracle has improved compared to previous year as the net profit has increased in a
greater margin.
Two-tiered system aims at working two ERP systems such as corporate and division.
This system is allowed for two different ERP systems which are operating separately. In
addition, it is separate in nature (Iskra 2018). Three-tiered systems are where the client is also in
exercising ERP as well. The levels of ERP includes different levels of access. Each and every
level have different access than each other.

has been mandatory to get a solution which is a web-enabled architecture. This architecture is not
authentic as the need and demand have made it web-enabled including some modifications. It
helps in limiting the remote performances and capabilities. As three-tier and web-based
architectures are based on definite technology and networking skill, the SOA is not based on
such factors.

be understood that it does helps in decision making processes and it enhances the decision
making and also in reporting system in the organization.
IFS
As per the financial analysis of IFS, it can be seen that there has been increase in revenue
of 16% in the financial year 2019, the adjusted EBITA has also increased of 14%, the net
revenue has increase of 20% and revenue from cloud and SaaS has also increased to 56 %
compared to previous financial year.
In the organization, effective ERP system helps in reducing the access time to direct,
examine and process the data. It also helps in arranging the data of the organization. Provide
high-quality and standard services (Hiebl, Gärtner and Duller 2017). The system uses a common
database which aims at avoiding data dismissal and operations. Expenses are decreased at an
extent and save time and effort. Reduces paper use and increases efficiency. Improve
cooperation between department, staff members and customers. Helps in ensuring a Systemic
organizational processes. Improve the internal communication and make the process easy.

improvised and efficient ERP system for the company. The company is an Information
Technology based company and they have to keep track of each and every transactions with their
clients. Timely monitoring of such transactions and reporting meaningful information for the
management is the key behind efficient and successful strategies for the company. Following
diagram can show the fit of the proposed ERP system with the requirements of the company.
