Article review: Enterprise system implementation
An enterprise system is a cross functional information system that help the
organization in providing coordination and integration of organization key business process.
This help in the flow of information seamlessly across the entity (Damaraju et al. 2014).
Different business process like manufacturing, sales, logistic and workforce are integrated
with the organization information system.
The report discusses about enterprise implementation:
a) Enterprise system implementation methodology in action framework.
This methodology discusses about the formalized and situational aspect which deals
with the technology and structure aspect of the implementation of the enterprise
system.
b) Formalized aspect of Accelerated SAP (ASAP) implementation methodology.
This method is recommended to implement to the customer (Sommestad et al. 2013).
As this method provide SAP implementation in a structure, efficient and faster way.
The purpose of the enterprise software is to support the business operation in an
efficient and cost effective way. Implementing Enterprise system has many benefit like
• It keep the data safe and encrypted which cannot be stolen
• Help the organization in the regulatory compliance
• It streamline the business process efficiently and effectively
• Help the organization in staying ahead of the competition using technology

data is stored on the central location which can be accessed from anywhere with a user Id and
password.
Enterprise system methodology
Enterprise system in Action framework
This enterprise system framework includes the two current views on the methodology
technology which covers the formalized aspect and the structure which discusses the
situational aspects (Bala and Venkatesh 2013). The integration of this two framework provide
a high level of strategy for an organization implement. This framework focus an organization
to implement the ESS strategy, which helps in the free flow of information the organization.
Accelerated SAP (ASAP) implementation methodology
It is a usual SAP associated project preparation and execution method. The main
purpose of this ASAP method is to help the project manager or team associates. This method
provide assurance that both money, time, work force are utilized optimally in the
organization business processes (Goodyear 2017). These accelerated SAP methodology
framework provide a wide range of tools and support to the project manager in providing
solution without making any compromise on the total costing and on time delivery.
The accelerated SAP methodology comprise of five different stages of implementation.
The five different Accelerated SAP implementation stages include
a) Project preparation

This refer to the collection of required information and necessary resources
which are crucial in the implementation of the project (Sykes, Venkatesh and Johnson
2014). Some of them include
Taking the permission from the senior management for the project approval.
b) Business blue print
Business blueprint outlines the future business process and business requirement.
c) Realization
This phase is broken into two parts base like configuration and fine tuning process.
d) Final preparation
e) Go live and support
Conclusion
Thus from the above detailed discussion it can concluded that for any organization to
work efficiently enterprise information system play a critical role. It help the organization in
working processes from record keeping to management of resources. It helps the information
to protected and kept in the safe custody. Therefore every large organization should
implement the enterprise information system in their business to reap the benefit of
technology in the work process.
