Introduction
In this project detailed information is mentioned about Enterprise system with classification of
same. Enterprise system have role in the revolutionary change for an organizations. The report
offers description about technology of Internet of Things. There is brief summary about
application and advantage of same. In this project description is also mentioned about factor
when Internet of things and Enterprise system get integrate together and after this
implementation how they both affect the growth of the company.
1. Enterprise System- The package of application software of large scale which is used
to maintain or to control the process of any business process is known as Enterprise
System. The flow of information, reporting or analysis of data is some of tasks which
are executed by Enterprise system. Enterprise system is categorized in three parts
defined below:-

(A). Enterprise resource planning (ERP) - It is one of type of Enterprise system or
application and it is used in companies to unite crucial parts of their business. It is that
system software which can help to merge planning, purchase, finance, marketing etc. It also
allows to various departments for sharing their information’s with other companies
efficiently and easily. ERP system should be used in very organized way else it becomes a
technology with contradictions.
With growing development a lot of change has been observed in the ERP system, trend of its
use is getting implement with new ideas and they are categorized in three different types
which are described below:
Industry specific Inform
Web based or Cloud
ERP for small business
Industry Specific Inform: The type of ERP software that is working for manufacturing and
distribution industries. This type is designed for the large corporations and according the
need of the organization.
Web based or Cloud ERP: Some of the organization prefers cloud or web based services
instead of using advanced ERP software, which is known as Software as a Service (SaaS).
In Cloud ERP business gets an access to portal for software and storing data over internet.
Basically cloud ERP works on remote server and just because of that organization gets the
access anytime and anywhere which can be access from any device having connection with
internet.
ERP for small business: When there is only requirement of order management, sales or
human resources but not having need of warehouse management or manufacturing
component then there is an option of ERP for small business (Enterprise resource plamnning ,
2019).

enterprise system. It helps in linking strategies and operation targets together although
enterprise planning develops plans for financial and operational aspects of any organization.

department. This software includes with characteristics which helps sales department to
work them with marketing material on basis of customer selection (Customer relationship
management , 2019) .
Internet of Things (IoT):
Once it was assumed that if there would be any technology that knew everything which can
access data and execute task without any human or manual help. It would be easy to know
about things that when they are going to replace or repairing. Internet of Things is based on
same concept it is a system which is connected to physical things which are executable
through internet. In this technology term ‘things’ is related to human with a heart monitor
or it can be an automobile compatible with sensors. Simply it can be defined as technology
any object which is assigned with IP address and capability to receive or to transfer data
over sever without any human assistance (Introduction to Internet of Things , 2017).

Importance of IoT: -
When anything which is connected with internet then it may transmit or receive the information
or may perform both tasks at same time. It is not mandatory to have a good storage capacity to
perform task smartly only required thing is connection with storage of super computer.
In this technology the things are being connected on internets which are categorized in three
parts.
i. Things which stores information and then send it.
ii. Things that receives information and then start executing the task.
iii. Things that can do both the above.
Use of IoT:
Things of Internet not required of any advertisement anymore, it occupied its value slowly but on
large scale and now it is helping the organizations for their better growth and to gain high
production. IoT not only create a path to connect the convenient life style but also reduce labor
which is eliminating chance of human errors. A precise number of data and information can be
collected by connecting devices with the internet (Use of IoT, 2019).

IoT changes our globe to new horizons by connecting all things that touched with casual or executive
lives by sensing tool and through cloud computing introduces next level development. IoT can be defined
as Magic for two reasons (I) Enclosing nature of concept (II) Improper and confusing technical
explanations.
Manufacturing efficiency:
Sensors which embedded with manufacturing equipment help to identify mistakes in products; it
improves manufacturing efficiency without wasting of time and money.
Energy efficiency:
The organization can preserve or can save energy by use of the IoT and its application in their
business. By the use of the intelligent algorithms, sensor data the sensors identifies the
temperature, lights and act according to the same by which energy can be stored and preserve this
effect organization in their costing of products. One of well-known multinational organizations
Google is saving 15% of energy by use of Internet of things.
Agricultural Efficiency:
When through sensors state of soil can be identify and usage of supply of water and other
nutrients will be according to state of soil, it will help in outdoor agriculture. Rather than this in
indoor agriculture application of IoT will help sensor to work according to climate and
temperature of place to maximize the production.
Health and Safety:
Internet of Things activates surveillance and observation that combine all of these together to
improve health and safety.
Law enforcement:
As IoT provides the better surveillance and tracking tools to detect location where crime is

Inventory Efficiency:

implemented with enterprise system are mentioned below:

Before implementing the technology into business there should be accurate statics have to
be keep regarding the each function of business and there should be a proper value about
the technology.
(ii) Optimization of Business process versus Customization :
This technology was introduced for organizations to automate their operations. This is
not normal to possess difference in ERP’s functional potential and specific demands of
business. It must be grabbing like a platform on relooking over current executing process

It is all important to consider implementation in enterprise system will convert benefits
for organization. If organization is implementing technology in their business then

expectation to update or new enterprise system with running process. In fact right execution will
be to make change in current process to get fit with new purchased system. Actually it is not easy
task to make change in both of these. For some of the companies it is very critical to update old
process with new process and then implement with enterprise system.
II. Lack of senior management support: It is very crucial for completing objectives of project there
should be support from senior authorities of company. Due to fear about missing of sales,
delivery to customer sometimes senior are not able to provide support from their desk.

III. Insufficient research: For some companies it was observed that investment was higher than
expected for training of employee due to which it becomes difficult task to provide training all of
new candidates which leads to unsatisfactory results.
IV. Poor Technology Planning: Due to having inappropriate and lack of adequate technology
infrastructure for the support of projects there is always risk for implementation in Enterprise
system (Risk factors of Enterprise System , 2018) .
Case Study of LG
When one of most well-known multinational business company LG with 114 subordinations and
approximately 80,000 employees having business in almost 40 countries across the world tried to
coordinate with its human resource function. The issues which observed were huge issues were like high
maintenance costs, lacking in clarity, incompetent decision making, manual process etc. which leads it to
unfavorable task for LG to work globally. Hence their management decide to choose one of type of
Enterprise System i.e. ERP.
As LG have familiarity with oracle technology so to finalize a decision regarding issue they were facing.
Oracle offered LG a large sever for storage, smooth changing in Old data or information. It was a
centralized system which can control and maintain situation or can access all tasks executing anywhere in
globe.
Achieved Benefits:
The system which was implemented which were including features like data emporium, management
system based upon performance, portals for staff and e-learning application leads to several advantages to
LG mentioned below:

Transparency in hiring system and appraisal process for the employees.
Reporting to higher authorities on real time and tracking of decided objectives or task.
