QUESTIONS
Overview
Myers Briggs type indicators (MBTI) is introspective questionnaire for assessing the
psychological preferences of individuals so that their personality, decision-making and approach
of performing tasks can be determined. On the basis of test results identividuals can be identified
as one of the 16 type of personality. I have assessed myself as personality of ESTJ type where
these letters are abbreviated as extroversion, sensing, thinking and judging.
A.) Existing findings on entrepreneurial personalities
The successful entrepreneurs must be highly innovative and passionate in terms of
business opportunities (Farrukh and et.al., 2018). Such personalities always try to explore the
ideas and opportunities which can assist in determining innovations. Another personality trait of
entrepreneurs is that they are highly flexible so that they are not limited to any fix boundaries
instead they always plan to develop new boundaries for keeping a scope for innovation (Ms and
Hardini, 2018). Successful entrepreneurs always have a clear future vision and are not restricted
to only current situations. This personality encourages entrepreneur to take risk and to enhance
their capabilities.
B.) Reflecting own personality traits
Through various surveys and experience on different events I have analysed that my
personality is of extrovert type. I used to interact and explore talking to new people so that I can
build good communication and relation with them. It also helps me to have better opportunity to
explore new ideas and innovative concepts. I have been very optimistic and used to pay attention
to practical approaches based on present circumstances as well as experiences. Thus, I have
personality type of sensing individuals instead of intuition types who used to have future
orientation and concepts for future. On some occasions I become emotional and my decisions are
influenced by emotional quotient. However, in various critical situation when my decisions have
significant impact I used to prefer my thinking abilities over feelings. On the basis of thinking
abilities I tend to implement more realistic and practical decisions in my life. Another
characteristic feature of my personality is that though I have been open-minded and flexible in
my functions but when it comes to accuracy and outcomes I behave in judging manner and I
prefer things to be highly precise and in order.

C.) Self evaluation in the role of entrepreneur
In my opinion I have suitable personality traits for becoming an entrepreneur. My
extroversion personality can help me find the vast range of professional relations and resources
to accomplish my goals. For becoming an entrepreneur it is necessary that I have the ability to
make good professional relations. Instead of using emotions to take decisions in most of the
cases I used to prefer thinking abilities so that my decisions leads to profitability. The business
ventures must have a limited fraction of emotions so that customers can be valued but it must not
dominate the practical decision-making. The thinking and sensing capabilities minimize the risk
factors involved in the entrepreneurship (Molino and et.al., 2018).
However, I also believe that my sensing ability instead of intuition can act as one of the
limitation or weakness in my journey of entrepreneurship. Since I rarely analyse future
perspective it can incorporate and enhance the risk factors in my decisions. Though sensing
characteristic is also effective in terms of quick decision-making and grabbing business
opportunity but it can lead me into trouble in terms of risks (Malewska, 2018). The judging
attitude is also effective in terms of gaol achievement in time but as an entrepreneur sometimes I
may require to adopt flexibility so that I can work in teams as well.
Assessment
`From the above evaluation I can conclude that personality trait of ESTJ type as per
MBTI results is one of the good characteristic of becoming successful entrepreneur. However, I
must I can achieve more success by improving my personality to other types such as EITJ or
ESFP.
