Introduction
This report aims to identify the similarities in nature of an entrepreneur and professional
athletes, these similarities are characteristics making a person different from the other to take
challenges in life.
Similarities in the characteristics
Athletes in a playing field take risks to perform their best in the team and entrepreneurship is
as same like a blind game, where a player handles risks to attain success, investing in a
business is same like a game. These characteristics are supposed to be same among
entrepreneur and pro athletes;
Goal oriented
Athletes are goal oriented and focused on a thing that they want to achieve with effective
strategies and planning. Athletes have effective personal and team goal management skills
and they are able to plan diversified strategies to reach their goals. As an entrepreneur has an
idea for any particular goal and plans strategies for self and for the team to follow path to
attain the goal. Venus Williams is a successful entrepreneur as she has found two firms
operating in the clothing and interior decoration (Elkins, 2020). She focused to deal in
different sector with a certain goal (Kenny, 2015).
Self-Drive
Motivation is an impotent and most common concept among the players at playing field and
payers in the corporate world. Self-motivation is most driving force for the both because they
need to communicate about personal strength and weakness to self and they have to train self
to fight the issues to win the challenge. John Elway owns an arena football league with many

other businesses to motivate self to earn maximum form the time after retirement (Jewell,
2020).
Confident and Poise
Confidence over planning and strategies to attain the planned goals is common in both, an
entrepreneur is passionate about the goals and he believe in the inner confidence to reach at
the successful end, same applies to an athlete’s (Elkins, 2020).
Determined and persistent
Determination and focus is important to reach the goal, entrepreneurs’ face many difficulties
in the initial stage of their goal implementation but determination to transform dream into
reality lead them to success hence a player in the athletes face the same issues (Ratten, 2015).
Prospectus for entrepreneurship in professional athletes
This is a very difficult term to define because defining suitability of any person for any
particular profession is challenging because every profession demand unique characteristics
and every human have same unique specialties to deal with the profession. Hence describing
a professional athletes is able to become entrepreneur is very challenging although they both
have may common characteristics like passion, determination and many more but still
entrepreneurship is a mind game need patience and tricks to deal failure in the market to plan
next strategy an athlete have short term temper to handle pressure and this cause issues to
them (Ratten, 2015).
Importance of teamwork in entrepreneurship
Teamwork is important and very positive in many manner as it have impact that two mind are
better than one because idea generating and implementing into reality demand effective
thinking, but teamwork sometimes lead conflicts hence effective leaders hip can help

entrepreneurs to manage the conflict. Athletes are habitual to work in a team and they are
potential to lead the team in a particular direction to establish the better outcome (Kenny,
2015).
Conclusion
This report concludes that there are many similarities in an entrepreneur and a professional
athlete leading them to enter into innovation and business world. Skills of an entrepreneur
with effective team leading skills lead to the successful entrepreneurship.

Hello dear KATILIN,
I read your thread and I enjoyed what you had to say especially regarding merger as benefit
for the both the parties entering in the contract. I especially liked your concept of connecting
the merger and merging entities as a family or a body of human because these two have
emotional attachment with the success failure of every aspect of a family understands the
strongest and weakest point of a member to use each member according to their potential and
abilities. You used a very famous and successful merged entity Pixar and Disney, these two
have specific unique characteristics and they used their strongest aspect to win the merger
and earn profit as you described very well in your thread. The examples you taken from the
bible verses to define the merging organization as human body is very effective and deep to
defining the relation of partnership in the merger should be based on the profitable outcomes
for the all parties entering to the contract (Isaiah 45:14, 2020).
In addition, I would also like to add to that by saying of bible on responsibility of partners in
the merger as in the,
Proverbs; 6:15
“My son, if you have put up security for your neighbour, have given your pledge for a
stranger, if you are snared in the words of your mouth, caught in the words of your mouth,
then do this, my son, and save yourself, for you have come into the hand of your neighbour:
go, hasten, and plead urgently with your neighbour. Give your eyes no sleep and your eyelids
no slumber; save yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the hand
of the fowler”.

Describing that ethics for the good behaviour in the merger and restriction for the unethical
activities is important to implement in the code of conduct of the organisation (Jewell, 2020).
Faith among the merging partner is also essential to deal the challenges in the business, as
you discussed about the distributing strategies of Disney is very strong hence Pixar has faith
in the distributing connection of Disney to attain the success because Bible added saying on
the faith “James 2:26; “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from
works is dead.” Hence trust and faith and good behavior in the relation leads the relationship
towards success (Jewell, 2020).

thread, Amazon is a famous global cloud computing and electronic commerce entity dealing
the online serving and many diversified business. It had performed many merging activities
as you disclosed an example of Pill Pack organization, a very famous pharmaceutical and
drug supplying organization in the UK. You stated in your thread very deep about the profits
earned by the acquiring and acquired parties both to lead the successful earning for both
(Merger, 2020). Thread delivers all the important aspects of merger from but in addition I
would like to add my saying upon challenges and their management in the merger and
acquisition in the Amazon and Pill Pack Company. Pill pack have effective brand image but
amazon have potential to provide a famous online platform to increase the supply of
pharmaceuticals and drugs at the door step of customers. Effective partnership for the
effective product supply is very important for the effective acquisitions. As I would like to

This verse describe the planning and strategies for the acquired company need to fall in
profitable outcomes because an acquired company depends over the strategies of the
