Vision and Opportunity
Carpe Diem or Seize the moment has been my motto in life. After leaving University the plan is
to incorporate my ideas and knowledge in business management together to structure a business
initiative that will have the potential to change lives. “Alpha Fitness Initiative” is a business
concept that not only targets a number of present limitations in the fitness market but also
encourages people to stay fit and lead a healthy life (Ward, 2016). Three questions have guided
me in life. Do I love what I’m doing right now? What do I feel most passionately about? How
can I use this passion to have an impact on the world? Though for me personally these answers
have changed from time to time the questions and their fundamentals have remained the same. I
am passionate about leading a healthy lifestyle. Keeping my body in shape has been something
that i have loved since childhood (Koehler, 2016). And starting a fitness project to help others
understand the importance of staying fit will have a lasting impact of the world. Alpha Fitness
Initiative aims on providing holistic services for fitness and general well being. These service
will be dedicated to help clients lose weight and achieve their fitness goals. “Every person
deserves to become the very best they can be” is the philosophy this initiative will abide by.
Marketing and Implementation
Alpha fitness aims to position itself a compartmental element in the larger fitness industry that
will focus on providing clients with a realistic program on how to stay fit by including exercise,
nutrition, sports and involvement in the community in their day to day lifestyle. The brand will
position itself as an entity that can be trusted by the local and regional community (Spann, 2015).
The marketing strategy is to create a brand name marketing plan by engaging a professional
expert on marketing and promotional activities. The targets will be high profile ad campaigns
which will be accompanied by far reaching brand awareness and PR campaigns throughout the
region.
The targeted promotional product will reach a broader market and these networks can be
leveraged to increase the reach of the fitness industry (Armstrong, 2016). After positioning itself
and cementing the brand in minds of the general population in the region an elaborate online
marketing plan needs to be developed and implemented. An online promotional strategy will
establish word to mouth business which will in turn increase the up taking of members
nationwide.
Risks and Mitigation
The first key milestone of this initiative will be establishing itself as a brand of choice for the
general population within the perimeters of the local area. The first 100 members will also be a
key checkpoint as it will prove that the business has become a profitable initiative. The definition
of success is blank business agendas and staying true to the purpose of the initiative. External
factors ranging from unawreness, unwillingness and laziness to local politics and corruption can
all affect the business in its initial days but once traction is achieved they can be handled
efficiently without any complications (Peterson, Jaret, and Schenck, 2016.). A fitness program
faces a number of risks. From malfunctioning equipment to employee dishonesty, multiple disks
are involved. Continuous monitoring and frequent servicing programs will manage such risks

before they have a lasting effect on the business. “Humane Owner, progressive developer, social
enthusiast.”
