RMBC with the impetus for further investing in their telecare program
In current time, tale care program is gaining higher popularity due to the use of
technology in the field of health & social care. In present scenario RMBC is looking forward for
implementing tele care & tele health initiatives with the help of NHS trust and one of the IT
Company. This initiative will help to bring positive outcomes by dealing with health issues being
faced by residents in an efficient manner (Kyvik, 2018). It is analyzed that it is not difficult to
implement telecare services. With this, it is possible to easily target huge segment of individuals.
In addition, cost of care is also not higher as with this it is easy to take care of people. On other
side, tele care services are also helpful in meeting with needs & requirements of users by making
them more independent. Here, tele care & tele health is considered as more suitable for elderly
patients belong from age group of 65 to 85.With this innovation seniors citizens do not required
to move from their place as now they can avail necessary health & social care at their own
convenient place.
Now, there are ample of technological advancements have been introduced in the field of
health & social care. These techniques have brought higher ease for patients and also help in
taking care of patients in better manner. In the present scenario, use of tele care is also a part of
technical advancement within healthcare. In addition to this, increasing needs & requirements of
customers, change in conditions also responsible for bringing changes in health care setting. In
the given scenario, due to increasing demand of health & social care and unavailability of proper
hospital service RMBC needs to evolve such a model which is a combination of technology and
health care services. For this regard, they initiated tele care services for meeting with demand of
people within council. So there are ample of factors which are responsible for driving changes
with heath care sector.
There are ample of legislations have been formulated by Care Quality Commission of
UK. Main aim of these compliances is to regulate health & social care within country in an
efficient manner. It is stated that the commission formulate ample of laws in timely manner for
controlling & regulating health care services within country ( Sharma, 2019). Here telecare
services are regulated by health and social care act. This act was made in the year of 2008 with
an aim to provide quality services as well as better care to patients. There are provisos in the act

for ensuring higher quality of health care services. In addition, there is another law general data
protection act which is also related in the area of telecare services. In telecare, data is taken by
patients for providing them better services. So, there is requirement to use this data protection act
in order to protect personal credentials of users.
Discuss the impact of legislations that has been initiated for innovation and entrepreneurship of
RMBC
It is analyzed that there are different laws have been formulated by government of UK in
order to manage innovation and entrepreneurship within country. There are some general laws
such as business law, customer protection law and more which need to abide by each and every
organization for running business in smooth manner. In current scenario, there are laws such as
health and social care act as per which service providers need to ensure higher safety and
security of patients. As per this act, patients need to get quality services in timely manner for
living a better life (Pauli, 2017). This law is highly related in terms of innovation which is taken
by RMBC as they need to ensure quality of serviced while providing health & social care
through their initiative. It is analyzed that there are provision in the act which provide necessary
legal implications for safety of patients. So, RMBC needs to obey the law in significant manner
in order to avoid any kind of legal hassle in future. Further, Data protection act will also put
impact on innovation taken by respective organization. This act aims to secure personal data of
users. So, service providers need to take care of safety & security of personal credentials of
users. Also, in tele care services, there are higher probabilities of data breach and unauthorized
access so it is vital to abide the provision of data protection act. By this way, there are a lot of act
which will put impact over new initiative taken by RMBC.
It is stated there are a lot of ethical dilemmas in using telecare services. Due to this,
relationship between doctor and patients is disrupted. With the use of telecare, there is no
requirement of personal interaction between patient and doctor which is vital for resolving issues

patients due to use of telecare services. Here, data of patients is used for providing them better

unauthorized elements. So, there are higher probabilities of data breach in case of using telecare

services. There is ethical dilemma regarding accessibility of technology. It might possible that
some vulnerable clients do not have access of technology thus it is not possible for them to avail
the services in timely manner. So, there are a lot of ethical dilemmas will be faced by RMBC
while adopting telecare services within community. They need to deal with these ethical issues in

is creativity which makes it different from other service providers. Innovation and technology is
really important in health care setting as it helps to enhance the level of services. Further,
innovation is also helpful in meeting with requirements so users in an efficient manner. In health
care, there are new technologies such as artificial intelligence; robotics and more are used in
order to provide better experiences & care to patients. Further, techniques & tools are also
helpful in rendering timely services to individuals. In present scenario, RMBC has adopted an
innovation based on health & social care (McDermott and Pedersen, 2016). For this, the council
took help of NHS trust and cloud based IT Company for providing better health care to
individuals. The innovation and entrepreneurial activity of council is based on creativity where
they associate technology with health care for meeting with demand of patients in an efficient
manner.
There is a complete process including ample of steps in used for development of
entrepreneurship. It starts with opportunity recognition where an individual finds an opportunity
or scope of improvement. After then, entrepreneur focuses over opportunity in order to convert it
into reality. It is stated that resources are also required for undertaking an entrepreneurial
venture. For this, in the next step entrepreneur undertakes necessary resources so that business
can be operated successfully. After then, entrepreneur launches the product & services among
target customers in order to gather their response. In this step, they put full efforts for making the
launch successful. In the next phase, business start to grow in market thus entrepreneur takes step
to expand business activities for earning more profit margin. In the current scenario, RMBC has

found an opportunity or scope of improvement in health & social services of people within
council. There are a lot of individuals majorly senior citizens have ample of health issues. Due to
unavailability of proper hospital infrastructure they cannot move to hospitals for getting right and
timely treatment (Spena and Cristina, 2019). So, RMBC has taken an initiative by providing
telecare services so that individuals do not need to move out of house for getting medical
consultation. For this, RMBC took a lot so steps such as associating with NHS and other tech
based company for converting idea into reality. Then they arranged necessary resources and also
get consent of patients so that they feel comfortable in using telecare services. So, there is a
complete cycle of innovation and entrepreneurial activities have been undertaken while bringing
telecare initiative in market.

In current time, there is requirement of evaluating needs & requirements of customers on
regular basis in order make necessary improvements in products and services. Pivot refers to
make necessary modifications in current products & services at the time when business owners

innovation, brainstorming and more. In open innovation, ideas are gathered from a lot of people
who are working within and outside of company. By this way, company is able to gather
appropriate ideas which lead innovation & creativity. Another crucial theory is brainstorming
under which individuals generate ideas through continuous brainstorming (Ingerslev, 2016). This
method helps to bring higher creativity within organization for further betterment of business. In
present time, RMBC undertake innovation to bring new and effective healthcare services. They
combined innovation and medical services together for providing better services to patients.
Here, RMBC took appropriate step for connecting service users with their innovation. They
adopted telecare services for convenience of individuals. They motivated individuals for
adopting telecare services in order to get better lifestyle and convenience.
