Introduction
In the past decade, there have been large scale disasters which have raised
the needs of animals suffering. There have also been small scale incidents that
have passed without any attention. Floods are natural common disasters which
cause extensive damage to livestock, human life and crops. Animals are known as
natural swimmers and can escape the drowning, if not tied with a cage.
Impact of Animals During a Disaster Event
The Natural disaster like floods can cause financial hardships and can sadly
result in the loss of animals like. Wildlife has been adapted to life-threatening
situations. These animals can be the victims of harm and desperately lacking of
shelter and food are the result of a disaster. Domesticated animals are majorly
dependent on human caretakers and sometimes left for the perishing. For the past
twenty years, USA has developed enough resources for caring the animals in
disasters. However, a lot of progress has been made in this sector, but recurrences
of the few issues affect the animals. Funds and assistance provided for animal
rescue for assessing the disaster situations and formulating the plans and take

Recommendation-
The management community has been reducing the adverse impacts of natural
disasters like floods on animals. By applying the principles and providing care for
the animals, there can be huge improvements in the animal health and decreases
the incidences of animal issues which arise in disasters (Heath & Linnabary, 2015).
1. Domestic Pets-During the time of floods, domestic pets are in need of
assistance and this is mainly due to emergency or death or evacuation
from the owners is the responsibility of Country Animal Services
2. Livestock-During the time of assistance, evacuation will be coordinated
through the habitat provided for horses and cooperative agents.
3. Wild Animals-These are a natural habitat and these are endangered
animals and the human population is responsible for licensed wildlife
rehabilitation.
4. Stranded Animals-These animals cannot be resuced due to emergency
circumstances. Medical assistance and food shall be delivered to the
animals by the right agency.

According to the present study made-most of the floods have distant effects
on the animals. In a scenario, where the animals die or need to be euthanized, it is
suggested that post-mortem assessment must be performed in a diagnostic
laboratory and all the legal and insurance claims can be settled (White, 2012).
Conclusion
Veterinarians can provide suggestions to the clients for providing first aid
for the animals and advise on the usage of appropriate content. Evacuation can be
better coordinated with horse clubs, livestock associations and country extensions.
Both, destination and transportation method should be sorted out very well in
advance.
